What an awesome award and accomplishment. Unfortunately I do not live in a smart home, but have dreamt of one and kind of understand the in's and outs. To reach a gold rating the smart house's basic technology infrastructure including the TV and video signals are spread amongst multiple rooms for easy networking and communications capability. This could only mean one thing, AWESOMENESS in every room. I mean, who wouldnt want to be able to control the the tv setting in the kitchen while resting in the guest bedroom? I know I would.
