Seany I listen watch and read the applause for good Gaelic football matches came at most 3 occasions last year. I talk a lot with true GAA men as myself, former intercounty players, journalists they feel precisely the same!
It is not the exception at all it is the general rule!
The good in football is the exception!
The facts are there! 300,000 less people watched the All Ireland final last year compared to 2017
So I saying this for years as you know well and I take No pleasure in repeating it

I smile truly at Journalists watching Rugby these days could ask if it going to be boring and journalists in the Gaelic Football Never ask questions like this or question even why Gaelic football is played as it is!
One reason why Rugby has grown as an entertainment giant is that Gaelic fans have transferred their interest

Look read my post carefully. The GAA were bullied by virtue of the fact, they totally misjudged the situation at the time and they took a tank load of bad publicity for 10/12 days before they met the local committee !
They shot themselves in the foot on that issue and Tom Ryan is crazy coming out with this I feel in a public statement ok.
The manner they dealt with the recent Rule fiasco and let council not let handpassing amendment through the league-Then not even making a public statement about it // this is why I sincerely believe they have lost the plot

It is terrible what goes on in Saudi Arabia truly, having lived in the company daily of under trodden slave labourers in Qatar πŸ‡ΆπŸ‡¦ for 52 months and then seeing how the elitist classes their treat, regard people not as fortunate as themselves it’s a disgrace that it’s not exposed more

I read this with some amusement as Tom Ryan is right the GAA were bullied , but they were behind the mood&the weight of public sympathy for Liam Miller ‘s family his close alliances with the GAA in Cork!
In stark contrast Not GAA HQ as ye do read this It is Absolutely Incredible that Central council last Saturday week were Bullied by GPA and 5/6 coaches into a ridiculously erroneous knee jerk reaction and the President of the association issues not a single word about this yet he chooses to speak publicly defending ticket admission price increases when the state of Football is determining the attendance figures

This is simply crazy stuff you can hold press conference after press conference and speak about ticket prices, yet the attendance figures are going Down in a serious way, figured watching tv broadcasts are dramatically down yet you have Zero to say about the recent knee jerk reaction to a soapbox lashing from GPA and 5/6 coaches that certainly would long term have improved the game of football and got people passionate about the game!!
John Horan and ye in Croke Park please Kop on
