Change.gov : Change.gov: The Obama-Biden Transition Team | General Discussion

Let's talk solutions. Glancing over this website today, I have not seen much discussion of solutions. Here's one. Dear President Elect Obama: we realize that it would be hard for you to withdraw your invitation to Rick Warren. How about expanding the team of Invocation writers to include 5 or 7 more religious leaders of different faiths. (I know for a fact that some of your best supporters are leaders from non-Christian faiths.) THEN, have them all sit down together to collaborate on the invocation. Force them to find common ground on the message. Wouldn't this go far to not only dilute the importance of Pastor Warren, but to bring together a community that can go on to work together over the long term? I respectfully request a response on this idea from the Transition Team.

Change.gov : Change.gov: The Obama-Biden Transition Team | General Discussion

Forgive me if someone has already suggested this, but I think it's time for us to request a meeting with the Inaugural Committee to discuss our request that Obama withdraw his invitation to Warren. Or to explain to us why he will not. This discussion board is supposed to enable transparency and communication....e-government...and Obama has set it up ostensibly to allow our participation in his governance. Now, we have had a lot of good discussion; and I think it is time stop acting like this is just an invisible channel for the Transition Team to read our input. We need to use this discussion board as a tool to establish dialogue with the Transition Team...to act on our position. How should we proceed from here?
