I'm ready to get crap for this, but this reminds me of a joke from an episode of *gulp* Sex and the City I saw where Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) says: "Squirrels are just rats in cuter outfits." I always thought it was a pretty funny quote, so I remembered it.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. Actually, I'm pretty excited about the last two strips of "For the Love of Russia," I'm really proud of what I've drawn. And, yes, if it sounds like I've actually gotten ahead that means I HAVE gotten ahead on drawing strips! I know, I know––we'll see how long it lasts...

I hope you don't mind if it's my meager scribblings for the next update!

Buh, I can't believe I actually called it Tales from Underground. I must have been tired. Maybe its my lack of exposure to Russian Literature in general. But what doesn't make sense is that I have the book on my desk next to me while typing and I type in the wrong title. Inexcusable, is what I'm saying. Inexcusable.

As for the Ned nickname, a lot of people in the strip have referred to Ninjadan as Ned. I have been told that people tend not to call Ninjadan by his whole name--being a whole three syllables and all--and simply started referring to him as N.D. As a joke, Janester started pronouncing the initials as Ned and it kind of stuck. Either way, he doesn't seem to mind. Even though Janester has the most obviously used nickname, I think Ned has the widest variety of nicknames that he's been called. If it had been me pronouncing the initials, it probably would have sounded more like "Indy." Maybe I'll start calling him that.

I actually have a copy of The Overcoat that I bought last year. That was when I was working at a bookstore and I've been reading my way through the pile I collected from there slowly but surely. Haven't read Heart of a Dog. Actually, I recently started reading (but had to stop because of other stuff I need to read) Dostoyevski's Tales from Underground, also a head trip from what I read so far.

Hey, thanks for coming by and watching me color on Mogulus last night until the early hours of the morning! It was fun.

I love the Penny Arcade game! It be so much fun to do a classic adventure game like that with the I.C.A.! Though, I've got a feeling many people would want it more action-oriented.

That game would be so unbalanced, Janester would totally own considering she is equipped with a shotgun and pneumatic chainsaw. Though I've actually never played a MMORPG, I think an ICA game in that vein would be pretty cool. You could choose your department and stuff...hmm...we should get on this.

Better get there fast. From what I hear Coraline will be ushered out of RealD-equipped theaters with the release of the upcoming Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience on Friday. For reals.
