NOW... to defend the audiobooks... I listen to tons of audiobooks. partly becuase i love to read, however, i can't read all the time... SO since i am constantly driving, I use to live an hour from my job, I use the audiobooks to read.. While yes, some of them are not that great... there are/have been some really good audio-books... Some with full cast, others with just one person... For instance "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown, as read by Paul Michael was really good. I perfer to build my own, with my own unique design, cost slightly less... HOWEVER, i have never considered the sound effect board from the cheap toys... must look into that.
