Adelaide used to have an IMAX theatre, but that was pre-Nolan and all you could see was 3D squid making babies. NOW... they decide to make feature films for the format and IMAX closed down here like 3 years ago. Grrrrr, I so badly wanted to see TDK on it I almost flew to Sydney.

I love the fact that you dont know who the enemies are. Thats the whole point of the series, that if you found yourself in Ellie and the gangs situation it doesnt matter who the enemies are. They are just enemies.

I really, really hope that this guy does not ruin that feeling. I know it will be hard to convey on film, but you should be able to get away with it for the first few books.

Me too .. maybe more though cos I wasnt allowed to see it when I was a kid so its not as thrashed as the others for me :) I just meant it from the point that it strayed from Raiders in its style, then they returned to Raiders, added some comedy and made a great flick. Then they strayed again to a different style, so it only makes sense for them to return again ... hopefully.

I dont really think a lot of people hate the movie though. Disappointed a bit, yes. But hate? No ... its just a fashion statement of sorts to hate it cos you didnt think it was needed.
Indy rocks and it really wasnt a bad movie at all.

Definitely get them going after the spear of destiny! And simply reverse the roles of Last Crusade. I.e. Indy and Mutt get separated. Mutt is kidnapped after going back to the same universtiy Indy teaches at. Then Indy must go get his son back, and along the way runs into a villain and his team who is trying to steal the Spear of Destiny. A lot of fun setps, booby traps ensue and its a great flick. Simple things like Mutt is trapped but finally breaks free just as Indy gets there so give him shit for taking his time. Like Sean and Harrison did in their duo.

Keep it simple. Dont introduce so many characters as Indy 4. Play on the fun aspects of it all, reduce the CGI, bring back Sallah and no more aliens. Its a simple strategy.

After temple of doom came out and people didnt like it, they went back to the roots. Hopefully they listen again this time and go back to the roots.

Exactly! All they need to do is adapt the story already written: Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings

Or the Spear of Destiny would be good.
