One time many people sacrificed their lives to get rid of the autocratic Ershad Government from power. But now Ershad is in power again. Once as an army chief, he kicked out the elected government from power. Then he occupied Bangladesh president post for 9 years and killed numerous students. So what was the use to sacrifice ordinary people's lives to save democracy in Bangladesh?

Moin & Fakrul initiated to clean the country. They wanted to eliminate the kingdom style family politics from Bangladesh. Husband was president. Then widow wife. Now son is waiting to be the prime minster to serve Bangladesh. All three of them are from one family. On the other hand- at first father was president, then his daughter. In future may be the daughter's son Joy will come into power. They are also from same family. The power for two families. Moin and Fakruddin did not finish their job to eliminate family-ism politics from Bangladesh.

Humayun was a university teacher but he could not afford to buy a color tv by his salary. Gultekin once said that before becoming a writer, Humayun could not continue the whole month with his full month salary. Humayun saw poverty. Only by becoming a writer, he got a decent life. Dilara Begum is trying to say - Humayun should have remained as a poor teacher throghout his whole life. Every human being has the right to make his/her life comfortable through honest way. For this reason, Dilara Begum is now in New York and eventually a columnist. Humayun Ahmed was not a prophet. He was a modern and scientific minded man. He has given many good message to society through his nobels and dramas. If some one is not blind like Dilara Begum, then they cay see those messages.

To Mr Socrates: 1) Bangladesh is a male dominated society. USA is the female dominated society. So what? Bangladeshi people holds LOVE between the man-woman relationship. But Taslima Nasrin's dream country's holds maninly sex between the man-woman relationship. Taslima is now the citizen of a first world country, Sweden. So why does she cry to come back to Bangladesh? Because even though Bangladesh is poor, but it is one of the best countries on the Earth. Believe it or not.
2) So called educated class people of Bangladesh love Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Sageet and modern song. But rural uneducated people love folk songs: Bhawaiya, Bhatiali. Do you think folk songs are worse than Rabindra Sangeet. Whatever is popular to mass people, that thing will be considered as a main stream. According to Taslima, Bangladeshi people are half educated and Calcutta people are highly educated. Those highly educated people only listen: Rabindra Sangeet. But Bangladeshi half educated people love all kind of cultures from all corners. Do not under estimate mass people's choice.
3) We like to read a nobel not a text book. Your so called popular writer's wrote text book what we read and we fall in sleep.
4) Finally nobody is going to worship Humayun. He is a human being like you and me.
5) Taslima Nasrin is telling bad things about Bangladesh and Bangladeshi people to all over the world to get her personal benefit. She said in a foreing TV interview that all Bangladeshi men usually rape their niece. Do you believe it?
