I'm sure I did but, oddly enough, the imagery works either way. ;)

ToddTerwilliger.com : Terminal Illness

That's a good point. I think a prerequisite for trusting one's views of anything: movies, politics, love, life, liberty, song, should depend utterly on one's opinion of the Star Trek movie. America, the world, I apologize. I'll try to do better.

A good point. I don't have a problem pointing out what ills there are but, to m,e without giving any sort of alternative or solution, what's the point? If it's a tree or my leg... sorry tree.

I've gotten a few spam followers but that doesn't bug me much because I just ignore them and they go away. I'm more fearful of the twitter community devolving into a giant messageboard with the attendant attitude maladjustment along with everything else.

Mel Brooks? No, no, no. This film needs a deft touch: Michael Bay or Uwe Bolle.

Bitterness? Probably more a false sense of entitlement. ;) You're right on all counts. It might have been a thought out, well-considered, measured response on her part- I have no way to tell- so I decided to have a little fun with it. Don't take it all too seriously, I didn't!

True. I suppose I was just surprised by it. You are correct though, it was not meaningless that she responded at all. However, I just miss the social pleasantries of the bygone age, fake and and insincere though they might have been. The ritual itself had a sort of power and comfort and I felt it's absence, like when you sneeze and nobody says anything. You wonder, where did all the manners go? *sneeze* Bless me.

/Film : GeekBomb: The Enduring Legacy of the Pink Panther

These new Panther movies are a tragedy. I don't so much blame Steve Martin- he's at the bottom of a career that's been dropping for decades. It's the cast around him that sadden me: Jean Reno, Kevin Kline, etc. These guys can do better and only lend credibility to an enterprise that has none.

AICN got an inside scoop on the rant. It looks like Bale was even more justified than I thought!

Hi Elaine,

I spent 15 years in Texas... As for tags, I probably over-tag my posts (can a post be over-tagged?) but what I do is tag anything that I mention by name in any meaningful sense. Does that make any sense at all? Regarding the Naked Cowboy, I wonder if he's flown south for the winter...
