Big Journalism : Government As Standup Comedy: Joe Biden On Leno

It is a little surprising that the Repubs are not requesting hearings on the significant fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement in America's intelligence budgets that has occurred since 2001. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/homefront... .

Big Journalism : Must Read of the Day: Bill Kristol On 'The Crisis At Which We've Arrived'

Obama is generally continuing the center-right policies of Bush. The health care plan was a conservative alternative to Single Payer that was supported in the past by Repubs. ("They were for it before they were against it.") This is a replay of Clinton, where the Repubs are letting Triangulation get to them and they are becoming quite bitter about it. How did that work in 1996 and 1998 for them? Real badly. The same arguments that Bush used for years -- the country is at war, we can't afford to challenge/switch leaders in a time of crisis, etc. -- are still valid, and it looks hypocritical for the Repubs to criticize Obama. Change the tone in Washington, unite behind the Commander in Chief and instead focus on people like George Miller.
