Putting an animal in a grinder is actually a pretty quick way to kill it, in the case of the chickens anyway. I doubt you could put a dog in there though, you'd have to push real hard. I don't know, I paid close to 2 dollars for a gallon of mil this weekend. I've got chicken for 39cents a pound, pork at 1.49 cents a pound, and burger for 1.79 cents a pound all at Fareway this week. I paid under 2 bucks for a loaf of bread, got my tomato sauce and paste for way under a buck a can. There's cheap food all over the place, maybe you need to get out a little more and do some shopping on your own.
