Although I'll love the rebels 'til I die, it's good to see Tipperary looking strong. I think they'll have a huge bearing on this year's title - a last four team at least. Our boys can get there too but they need a little more steel when a game's in the melting pot.

Don't have a particularly strong view on this but speaking personally the lure of rugby is the clarity of the rules, the general rigour of their enforcement, and the respect for the referee. The first two are missing from Gaelic football and the last from soccer.

It's a privilege to be around, as a rugby fan, at such a wonderful time for the Irish game. A team of world class players, warriors to a man... Even if they don't win, they'll die fighting. And Joe S is everything Eddie Jones isn't.

yeah, this is not what we want - Cork struggling. Kilkenny flying (and no salary since before Christmas so can't drown our sorrows yet...)

And poor Offaly - that sort of hammering does them - and the game - no good. C'mon the Faithful - we need you back at the top table, competing for honours again...

Well done Monaghan! A little bit of a surprise given the strength of the team which Gavin selected. Monaghan have a bit of steel, as well as good footballers - a better team than Tyrone and the standard-bearers for Ulster football right now

Have to agree - they were always worth watching; rare is the game involving Mayo that had you thinking "well, that was boring...". Even the defeats were often heroic. Still don't see them reaching the holy grail - hard to see past Dublin and Kerry in that order, with Dublin some distance ahead of Kerry. If there's a surprise from the West this year it'll surely be Galway...
