So now that it is obvious that we are headed down the road towards becoming a Christian Theocracy, thanks to the President Elect, how and what can we do to prevent this from happening and causing the demise of our great nation?
The overt christian tone of the inauguration should send a loud and clear message to all non-christians that the interests of Christian Americans will be put first and foremost in front of everyone else. Now matter how much hate they spew and division and hurt they inflict upon other Americans, they will be included. Fine, they should be included, but not the the detriment and exclusion of others. Hello?

I supported Obama early on and through the election. But the mistakes keep mounting and his overt slap-downs of the Gay community just keep coming. Donnie McClurkin, Rick Warren..... My mistake. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me....fool me three times....not gonna happen.

Pandering? Definitely. He is just another politician after all. He will lie and twist the truth any way possible in order to get the votes he needs to achieve his ambitions. This Obama supporter has lost faith. I will not support him or vote for him again unless I see RESULTS. Something I seriously doubt will happen because his promise of equality for all Americans was nothing but lip service.
The outcome of all of this is that it has motivated me to start preparing an effort in the Gay community to keep our families and funds from being used again by this politician in his next election. He promised the Gay community in Chicago the moon and the starts in 2004 and delivered nothing. The same will hold true this time too. A new movement is coming in the Gay community.... Sorry Barack, No money, No votes, No thanks!!

I have never seen so much emphasis placed upon religion during a campaign and inauguration. Since he has now added the Gay Bishop, as an afterthought in order to cover his rear, to the inauguration it has made it worse not better. Gay Americans are nothing more than an afterthought to this President, that is until he needs our money and our votes.
When they chose to include Donnie McClurkin it almost cost him our support. Then he thumbed his nose at us with Rick Warren. Face it, Barack Obama doesn't give a flip about the Gay community unless he can use us for something.
Between his blurring the church/state lines with increased "faith-based" funding and his inclusion of religion in every aspect of his administration so far I am beginning to wonder if our constitution would have not been better served by someone else who is not so superstitious. Barack Obama speaks out of both sides of his mouth. Continued......

For example if you are married and you die: A. Your spouse gets to draw a portion of your social security as a survivor. B. If you have a child your child gets to draw a monthly benefit and your spouse caring for that child gets an increased benefit. Now if I die my spouse gets nothing, ever, from all the social security I paid in. My child only gets a benefit if I am the one listed on the birth certificate or adoption papers, if my spouse is listed instead of me....my child gets nothing. Even if my child does get the benefit my surviving spouse who cares for that minor child gets....nothing.
That is but one example. Like I said there are over 1,100 laws and scenarios under federal jurisdiction that play out like this.
Oh, and lets not even start to talk about taxes....where we get taxed as two single individuals while married Americans enjoy "joint" filing status and all the associated deductions.
