I don't work OT never have and never will. I went with my heart with both my vote to strike and vote to turn down the contract. I see alot of people wanting to blast the union about strike, they only used the right they we as a Union gave them. When the company chose not to take the temps off the table and that if they did there would be an extenstion the company refused and said they wouldn't be talking anymore. The company for years has bargained in bad faith what makes you think that they are honest now?

Does everyone think that the company is on the up and up? The same info at the meetings giving by the Union is the same crap the company sent me in the mail. Why do you think the union is lying to the body? We chose as a union to vote in a strike athurization. If you or anyone else felt that the vote for the strike was wrong then why didn't you voice how you felt for everyone to hear?

"company officials are denied the right by law to communicate directly to them about the negotiated issues." Are you serious? There is not one law that says they can not tell you what is being proposed.

The E-board set us down with the companies final proposal. The company also sent us their final proposal in the mail with questions and answers the we might have had. Which is really great but for the fact that the company held a couple meetings on the clock and for the fact that they were caught in one lie after the other the called off the rest of the meetings for the other crews. If the cared so much and if was that good then why couldn't they tell me to my face instead of send me junk mail (imo) and tell me that when I vote to vote yes. Is it Pete's job to tell me how to vote though he couldn't take the time to have meetings with all the crews? Not sure how you run the business that your are in but the company I work for is very dishonest.

It is not required to be a union member to work there. You had the option to decline.

Ok, you must be a company man I see. I have a contract and not once did I say that I had it any worse than anyone else. What are u getting at with your comment? I am union and the only ones I am fighting for are union employees. For the first time in 11 years I have been there we as union members are standing united and trying to get a fair contract.

Being called a scab for crossing a strike picket is not obscene. You can type what you want since you have the right, but we also have the right to be there with picket signs and bullhorns. If you don't like being called a scab don't cross our line.

Being told that we are not worth want the company is offering us is somewhat degrading. My department has been cut by atleast 30% over the past few years with our job duties are being increased daily. Unless you know what is going on at the plant from a union works perspective you have no idea what we are going through. We are not asking for the world but a fair share. No Temps, Insurance that can not be changed when ever the company feels like they can save a buck. Also when this is over the scabs that have crossed the line can thank the ones that sacrificed to work for a better contract.
