Fed is going to let mortgage interest rates rise. Those with variable rates need to lock into a long-term fixed now. Our bank called us a couple of months ago to try to get us to give up our 30 fixed and go variable. I couldn't do anything but laugh. I said, "Are you serious?? Do you have any idea what hyper-inflation is??? -- NO THANKS." He called later in the week and tried to talk my husband into doing it. He laughed at him too. Some businesses are flat out immoral.

Why is your life so empty that you must antagonize others who have a different opinion than you? Why is there only kindness and understanding for people who are like you? We are a minority... Yes, I have. The problem is the current crop of politicians in office either haven't read it or have blatant disregard for it. Look, I appreciate the debate - but here's the simple fact. I made that post to help others find something 'results-oriented' to do. I'm doing it. People in Nevada, California and other states are in position to do this--not thinking about it, they're poised to put this to action. One county in NV has already been converted. If you or anyone doesn't care to do it, then don't. It's just that simple. If you want to do something without getting off your as$ then pray for the people trying to do something, because it's just as hard to get conservatives to do something as it is to make liberals see reason. God- help us all.

The Precinct Strategy of 2010 The Conservative Movement is at a standstill right now. About half will stick with the major party candidates, namely Republican, as to not ‘waste’ their vote on 3rd party “spoilers”. The other half want to start or join 3rd parties to get away from the 2-Party System all together. There is one more option that marries both ideas; it’s called The Precinct Strategy. For decades this stealth tactic has worked for other grassroots campaigns. Conservatives can stick with either the Democrats or Republicans while 3rd party advocates can insert their ‘would-be’ candidates into a major political party with a real chance at winning elections. The goal of the Precinct Strategy is to take over a political party to advance your own brand of candidates, thus creating real opposition to incumbent and establishment leaders. Tactics begin at the county level in elections for “Precinct Captains” – (Official names can vary). Depending on your state & county there could be anywhere from less than 100 to a couple thousand precincts. Each precinct roughly comprises about 10 to 20 streets, about the population size of a neighborhood. Figure out how many precincts there are in your county, and then you’ll know roughly how many group members you’ll need to pull off a successful campaign. You’ll need to join either the Republican or Democrat party and then run for Precinct Captain under that party. (You must actually join the party in your county, not just register to vote for that party’s candidates. This is separate from being a ‘registered voter’.) The goal in your first step is to occupy as many Precinct Captain seats as possible in your county. Precinct positions are the lowest-ranking minor civil division (MCD) in the US and are filled by average citizens or by no one at all. If you run for this office, most of the time you may go unopposed. Usually all it takes to run for Precinct Captain is a few signatures (around 10 or so) from your precinct. Once your group members have occupied as many Precinct Captain seats as you could secure for your county, then it’s imperative that all group members, in addition to your Precinct Captains, attend the party’s county meeting. This meeting is held to elect your party’s County Leader, and is held shortly after the precinct elections. These County Leader seats hold the key to election reform because they elect state leaders, local candidates, Congressional candidates and if the plan is implemented further, to the state-level, then you can elect national party leaders. It is literally reform from the bottom up in an efficient & cost effective manner. For more information, you can contact a Nevada 912 group that actually implemented this plan successfully in Clarke County Nevada. They were able to secure 7 out of 8 seats for their grassroots candidates by taking over their county’s lame-duck Republican party. To contact the Nevada group you can visit: Nevada912.ning.com.
