This isn't a Military training technique. I went through a CS chamber in Basic training in '86. You went into the tent that was filled with CS wearing your mask, then took it off once inside. This was to give you confidence that the mask actually worked and you wouldn't panic and run away in the case of a gas attack on the battlefield. The only thing that I could think of for this training being useful is the Military Police. This serves no purpose for general recruits.

I would love to tell you that my previous comments are applicable today. I was speaking from past experience. The only thing that we can do is watch the union elections. If people like Trumpka and Hoffa keep getting voted in, That speaks for itself. The majority of the union membership is of like mind. Here's a start. Going to take a lot of spine for members to do this. I'm sure that they'll be singled out and intimidated. That's what unions do best. Under the 1988 Supreme Court decision Communications Workers of America v. I was in the Teamsters years ago. I voted for Hoffa when he ran the first time. I've been pleasantly surprised that he wasn't making an a$$ out of himself or the Teamsters. (See Stern, Trumpka) I guess that's out the window. I know that MOST of the union people don't think like the a-hole union leadership. Most are just worried about their jobs. I wonder how many of them now understand that they've been sold one of the biggest lies in American history. Unions should go after and get everything they can, by any means necessary and it will have no effects on the company's future or the Nation's future. Unions have out-lived their usefulness.

From the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, otherwise known as the “Obama stimulus". This bill explicitly included $15,000 in funding for Project Gunrunner. SEC. 2. PROJECT GUNRUNNER. (a) In General- The Attorney General shall dedicate and expand the resources provided for the Project Gunrunner initiative of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to identify, investigate, and prosecute individuals involved in the trafficking of firearms across the international border between the United States and Mexico. (b) Activities- In carrying out this section, the Attorney General shall-- (1) assign additional agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to the area of the United States adjacent to the international border between the United States and Mexico to support the expansion of Project Gunrunner teams; (2) establish not fewer than 1 Project Gunrunner team in each State along the international border between the United States and Mexico; and (3) coordinate with the heads of other relevant Federal law enforcement agencies and State and local law enforcement agencies to address firearms trafficking in a comprehensive manner. (c) Additional Staff- The Attorney General may hire Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives agents for, and otherwise expend additional resources needed to adequately support, Project Gunrunner. (d) Authorization of Appropriations- There are authorized to be appropriated $15,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2010 and 2011 to carry out this section.
