Breitbart.com : Washington slaps fee on plastic shopping bags

Idiots! Studies show these laws just force people buy more plastic bags for trash, carrying things, etc; so net plastic use increases. Grocery bags are very thin, the ones they replace them with are much thicker (more plastic used) too. Replacing one form of plastic bag (grocery) with bought ones won't magically change thoughtless people who throw them out the window into thoughtful and respectful people who re-use/recycle or properly throw them away! Duh! Reused bags contaminate food with mold, dirt & bacteria; very unsafe! (google the subject) This near-sighted and nanny-state tactic by governments have the same effect as "cap and tax" schemes which just drive more factories to China & 3rd world to pollute without cost or limits at all--creating more, not less pollution.

Breitbart.com : Venezuela seizes a landmark Hilton Hotel

Anyone with ANY assets in Venezuela should wake up and smell the Commie Coffee. Your assets will be seized! Maybe it will be next week, month, or year, but the end is coming. Sell or remove your assets and if you are going to lose it, better to dismantle your own property than watch it being stolen by force. Geez, why is this any surprise?

* Government permission needed to drive long distances, and all highways having expensive tolls, as well as GPS spy chips in cars to warn the government if you drive past your allotment; and to track your every movement. * A backyard charcoal barbecue becomes a jailable offence. A wood fire in your fireplace on a cold winter night after you've used up your monthly electric and heat ration--even worse. * Warrentless door-to-door searches of your home and workplace, with confiscatory fines & seizure for the discovery of "wasteful" cars, appliances, and arresting those who dared to save and use a few incadecent light bulbs. * Laws criminalizing dissent on "climate issues," with jail for offenders who dared exercize their First Amendment rights. * Al Gore, Barack Obama, bureaucrats and the elected elite will still enjoy all the comforts we now enjoy, but we the proletariat workers will be living a life closer to that in North Korea than the Land of the Free we grew up in. The "Cap and Tax" bill will do more to greate a police state than anything else in Obama's list of priorities. Stop it now, while we can!

You really got to think seroiusly about the consequenses of a 20% cut in emissions. This means at least a 20% cut in our economy, and a 1000% hike in government control over your life. There is no way they can cut 20% of our economy and personal consumption without Soviet-style laws and confiscatory taxes and pricing. * Think strict and permanent auto/gas rationing unlike anything ever seen before. "Smart electric meters" and government controlled thermostats which cut you off if you exceed your monthly allotment of electricity. * Air travel limited to government bureaucrats only and those who get government permission to fly. The family vacation a thing of the past. * Obama's dream to "necessarily skyrocket" electric prices and "bankrupt" the coal industry would be reality. * Families struggling to pay perhaps $10,000 a year just to heat and light their homes (at today's dollar value). Gas prices raised to $20 a gallon to cut "emissions." Large cars illegal or taxed to oblivion, forcing large families to own multiple Obama-mobiles. more...

Breitbart.com : Gibbs: Obama \'disappointed\' at losing Olympics

When will he ever learn? You can't go around for 9 months telling the world the US is just another random country and no longer the leader of the Free World, then discover one thing that superpower status would make easier and suddenly try to act like the leader of the Free World. Can't have it both ways. A wannabe Socialist also has trouble beating the real deal, Lula. Respect must be earned, and its not earned by apologizing for America and consorting with our sworn enemies. It didn't work, did it? Try standing UP for liberty, human rights, and the American Way! Reagan would have been awarded the Olympics with a standing ovation!

This is as much an "independent" audit as the fox doing an "audit" of the chicken house. The characters selected are all ACORN sympathizers, including ACORN's siamese twin; the SEIU Union!
