Big Peace : Allen West: First Principles for National Security

Allen West has it all! He is most importantly right on the issues. He is forceful, politically incorrect, a LEADER, charismatic, articulate, intelligent, and wise. He believes the Constitution is supreme. He would wipe the floor with Obama in a head to head debate, guaranteed. West 2012!

All this is is Obama reaching out to his base before election. He's throwing them a bone (much pun) to raise some money for this campaign. Anything Obama does in regards to the military is going to obviously be bass ackwards and will need undoing by the next admin.

People should be free to play poker as they wish. It doesnt hurt anyone. Its none of anyone's business who does or doesnt play poker. Their are lots of reasons to badmouth these liberal cksuckers but playing cards shouldnt be one of them.

Big Government : PROOF! Palin Is Evil...Or Something

Wow! She is incredible. I love Palin, always have. AND I am not a Christian, I do not believe in the Christian God at all. One does not need religion to realize that Sarah Palin is a unique woman, a Patriot of the highest order, and a person true to herself. And although I dont believe in her God, i truly appreciate the sentiment and heartfelt emotion that she wrote in her letter to her family. If she makes the ballot, she will be the first person on a national ticket that I have PROUDLY voted FOR!

Big Government : Reason.tv: What's the Libertarian Position on Abortion?

Ammoral, I agree with the majority of what you said. You make very strong points, especially about how the state cant legislate ones personal religious views. But I feel you ultimately draw the wrong conclusion. To me, abortion is an individual rights issue. The baby, regardless of whether if not it could live outside the womb, is an individual. An individual which not only has human DNA, but DNA that is unique from that of its mother, making it a totally separate entity. An individual that has amongst other rights, the right to life. And I feel the distinction about it not mattering whether it is viable outside the womb or not is important to make because ALL babies are dependent on external care to survive. A 6 month old needs milk just as much as a 2nd trimester baby needs umbilical fluid to survive. Taking away either results in an equally dead human life. Furthermore, abortion is wrong in all cases except where it may kill the mother, even rape. I'll grant you there is a compelling argument for abortion in the case of rape, you made good points in that respect, but I'll tell you why I come down against it. Two reasons, one being that the child of the rapist, is not guilty of any crime, it is as innocent as a planned baby. It's right to life is just as great as any other baby. I acknowledge the severe distress this can cause the mother, but that is the fault of the rapist, not the baby. Second, in today's modern times, there really is no NEED for an abortion anyway. On one hand you have numerous legitimate ways to prevent pregnancies from the pill, condoms, etc. to even the morning after pill, which I do not consider an abortion for the record. In the event of a rape, a responsible woman who doesnt want to bear the rapist's child should take a morning after pill. Otherwise, be prepared to have the baby. There are 2 statements I take umbrage with. "and go to some anti-choice "crisis pregnancy center'" Anit-choice is a ridiculous phrase you realize. I could just as easily say since you are not pro-life you are pro-death, not pro-choice, but that doesnt really advance the debate now does it? Saying we are anti-choice is worse. I would not take away a woman's right to choose. If a woman chooses not to have a baby, there are many lifestyle choices and contraceptive CHOICES she can make. Taking the life of another is not something we consider an allowable choice. It is, in fact, death. The other statement is "To be 100% anti-abortion in all cases is to believe that the government should dictate sectarian morality not backed by science." I disagree fervently. To be against 100% against abortion in all cases means, at least for me, that I recognize the gov't's proper function of protecting individual rights, even those of babies. If one truly stand for individual rights, and recognizes that a child is an individual, then the true small gov't position is pro-life. * As an aside, Roe v Wade shouldnt be overturned for any other reason that its a state's right's issue. The Supreme Court had no business hearing the case to begin with. Each state's citizens should be able to decide independently of the Federal gov't what's its abortion laws will be.

Not only does it have human DNA, but it has its own UNIQUE DNA, different than the mothers. This making it a wholly separate individual.

So anything that didnt come from the mouth of David Barton is revisionist history? Your arguments betray you. If you KNEW Paine was a Deist, you should also know the same for Jefferson, Franklin, and others. So why not read Paine? Are you not secure enough in your faith to hear out someone elses differing opinion? Just read the first 10 pages. I would love to hear you tell me how Paine is incorrect. (Without quoting the Bible of course, lets try logic or reason for a change eh)

Im not scared of Jesus being the son of God, you are scared of the probability that he isn't. For the record, textbooks are not supposed to teach JEEEEZUS to children. Rot your own children's mind if you want, but I'll be damned if you are going to use my taxpayer money to teach YOUR religion to MY kid. Gov't may very well be God for a Democrat. Natural law is my God, my mind is my church, and creation is the one true word of God.
