GazetteOnline.com : Bicyclist OK after being struck by a car in Cedar Rapids

I'm not surprised this happened. As a bicycle rider I've been amazed at how "un-rider-friendly" drivers in Cedar Rapids are. Just today my daughter and I were going south on C Avenue at Blairs Ferry Road. Even though we had the signal for the crosswalk, cars continued to turn right, right in front of us, not even seeming to pay attention to the fact that there were two bicyclists who had the right of way.
