GazetteOnline.com : District 3 race down to 3, McGrane, Shey, Potts; fourth candidate, Busch, suspends campaign

It's three debates/forums, including one meeting with the media. Nice guy doesn't equal smart, or experienced. Keeping a seat warm doesn't constitute representation. PS - and how do you know I'm not a Samantha? ;)

Jerry McGrane won't show up for a debate or forum and reportedly is running because he needs the money. I'm just glad Pat Shey is running for our district.

GazetteOnline.com : NO LONGER LIVE FROM Royals-Twins: It doesn't get much better than this (yes, it does)

Hlas-tradamus doesn't know Bloomquist, DeJesus or Bannister? He obviously doesn't own an AL fantasy baseball team. In deep leagues, these are the guys who win and lose championships. But I bet Mike will know the 4th-string Patriots wide receiver before he enters the Garage Draft in a couple of weeks. That's where fantasy football championships are won.

GazetteOnline.com : City opts to bring in private sector to modernize downtown parking system

Agree that free parking doesn't solve anything. In fact, CR should be charging more than it does for the very best parking spots. I know a lot of downtown people who are really looking forward to this experiment w/ Republic. Current system is bad. I'm one who thinks the new guys are very likely to bring improvement, and probably do it more cost-effectively than government has managed to do it. Let's give them a chance.
