I saved about $4 on my Smirnoff vodka from Costco, compared to previous liquor store prices. The price of Fireball whiskey was about the same, and the price of Jagermeister was much higher than before. The difference is now you need to shop around to find the good deals, as opposed to having a set price statewide. THAT'S WHAT PRIVATIZATION DOES! If you INSIST on purchasing a specific brand at a specific time, be prepared for a possibility that you'll pay more--just like if you insisted on purchasing name brand clothing, food, or appliances at any specific time without waiting for a sale, coupon, or for a store to have a good price on it. This is working exactly as designed. If you don't like it, opt for Aha instead of Patron when it goes on sale, or Sailor Jerry instead of Captain Morgan, or Sky instead of Smirnoff.
