When Nusantara Christians adopted the use of the term Allah in 17th century, Dewan Bahasa is not even in existence. Who the heck is DBP to retroactively correct Malay speaking Christians, who have been using the term since 1800s?

While DBP would like to retroactively correct Malay-speaking Christians for adopting the term Allah since 1600s, shall they not retroactively correct the Muslim Malays for wrongly adopting Sanskrit term (Hindu origin) of Syurga, Neraka, Dosa and Pahala for the Muslim concept of Jannah, Jahanam, Khateeah and Rahmat?

Please la..you Semenanjung people and your narrow view of the history. This islamization process happened even when Sabah was one of the only 3 opposition led state in Malaysia. And precisely because we were the one who were rebellious and were fighting against the government, that BN government surreptitiously done Project IC and convert Sabahans to Muslim to change the demography to suppress opposition. And where were you guys with your moral high horse at that time..I don't see you supporting us other than just looking from afar..

Whatever happen now is the ramification of what happened previously, when we were fighting against BN while you guys were quietly looking at how Mahathir try to suppress the opposition and bully the opposition led state. At least now with you Semenanjung fighting with each other, we get to get things that we were devoid of previously and set straight the injustice that had been impose upon us. The cabotage policy is gone, heck even Malaysia Day had finally been assigned as a public holiday.

Now we have you Semenanjung people to thank for. Had you not been arguing bitterly, we would not have gotten our way with things. Thanks again!

The Mufti's statement is the one that is an insult to Islam. If he has faith in Islam, then he would let the child decides for him/herself as they turn 18, as they would themselves found the beauty of Islam, instead of being forced upon them. By allowing unilateral conversion, isn't that saying that Islam is a weak religion that needs rules and regulations to ensure people's conversion to Islam.

Of course everyone has self interest in their mind. The difference is whether they take action to meddle with other people's affair on the issue. We can handle the situation well without the patronising attitude of west malaysian politician attitude, with all the 'shoulds' and 'should nots'. Our Sabahan and Sarawakian party don't go around meddling the affairs in Penang do we?

I AM choosing sides. I am choosing a local party that stands for the right of Sabahan and Sarawakian, regardless whether the local party wants to align themselves to BN or Pakatan.

I just dislike west malaysian politicians who steps it at every opportunity to have the Sabahans and Sarawakians on their side to get their support in parliament. Say Sabah and Sarawak has insignificant seat allocation in parliament, these west malaysians would not give a hoot about the conditions in Sabah Sarawak.

And please, I am well aware of the history in 1976 where LKS opposed the amendment and almost all of Sabahan and Sarawakian parliament members said 'aye' to that. Well that is in 1976, and who would now what was the real intention of LKS at that time, and whether DAP still hold the same view now. But regardless, let us handle our own situation, and I think the local parties, such as Adenan is doing a good job at that.

I hate BN (especially UMNO) but I hate DAP as well. These West Malaysians have hidden agenda and self interest in their mind. They should just keep quiet when it comes to Sabah and Sarawak's affair.

You don't demand respect, you earn it..I think they can get more pahala if they can resist temptation even when tempted..
honestly i have more respect for those who managed to control themselves in the face of temptation, then needing a government body to threaten others in order to prevent their people from falling into temptation

Aiya mat lu salah...kita tunuk kita better by doing the same thing..that is by not organizing a one sided speech disrespecting other people's religion (which I believe most of the Christians churches in Malaysia is adhering so far)

buka minda baca sikit itu declaration of human rights kat PBB pasal freedom of expression.

Dorang cakap, everyone shall have the right to hold opinions without interference, but the exercise of these rights carries "special duties and responsibilities" and may "therefore be subject to certain restrictions" when necessary "[f]or respect of the rights or reputation of others" or "[f]or the protection of national security or of public order (order public), or of public health or morals

Gua tak setuju kalau gereja mengadakan satu ucapan mengkritik Quran dan Nabi Muhammad. Gua tak setuju Charlie Hebdo melukis dan menghina Nabi Muhammad. Similarly,I expect you to not agree with them disrespecting Christianity by claiming Bible prophesized Prophet Muhammad
