Some of the drivers aren't on a bus or with mom. They are teenagers behind the wheel. Some of the dangerous drivers on the road have nothing to do with the schools, but they are out there just the same. Why is everyone so against the kids getting a snow day?

I agree with you! SVVSD did the same thing. They build in a lot of extra snow days but are afraid to use them. I kept my child home even though they didn't cancel, but I thought it was dangerous and irresponsible of both districts to take a chance. These comments below about leaving if you don't like the snow are missing the point. I love the snow, I just don't want my child on a bus in a blizzard when it's avoidable. This is Colorado, Spring time in the Rockies, and the school boards needs to plan accordingly.

They should incur a hefty fine, PLUS the pay for the entire cost of restoration, and be forced to participate in the clean up. I agree the pictures indicate girls did this.
