That irritated me too. Other than noting that it was problematic for him, we don't know why. I guess it was meant to be tantalizing, so we buy the book.

Well, how's about: In fact, language marks and acknowledges meaning.

There is obvious creativity in the marking, noting the great profusion of languages, yet the constraints of reality act to limit what can be acknowledged. Not totally, but largely.

I said I was afraid of it, not alergic to it. Angorathesia is allergic to angora.
