It's a quandary for the poor liberals. Caught between a hatred for anything that celebrates traditional American and Christian values, and a hatred for profiteering retail business. I wonder if they've always been this out-of-control or if we just hear about it more because of the internet.

Parents are the ones holding all the cards. These schools get funding based, not on enrollment but, on attendance. All the little Johnnys should be kept home and in their place a letter to the administration saying, "Change your policy or watch your funding dry up."

You realize, Todd, that when the time comes that we have to build a wall, if you're still there, you'll be stuck.

The pattern is one of intense sadness. We love to point out the incredible hypocrisy of the media and the ruling class that inevitably rears its ugly face after these horrific crimes. We listen and watch with, at best, a feeling of smug satisfaction and at worst a sort of glee when they fail to disappoint us with their lack of coverage and their deafening silence. Then we rush to our keyboards to impart our clever takes on race-baiting industry and the hypocrisy and the media and Obama until, at the end of the comment stream, we're calling each other idiots and trolls. Then we go to bed, and in the morning we log on to find the next example that confirms all we believe is wrong in America.

What gets lost in this madness is the fact that we have, here in the "Land of Opportunity" an entire class of young people who have been utterly forsaken, have had no moral guidance, no worthy role models, and whose lives have been completely sanitized of all the civil foundations we take for granted. This was done by government and government alone is responsible for creating these sociopaths.

I thought today about the three young men who murdered Australian Chris Lane. They claimed they did it because they were bored and that it would be fun. This is vastly different and, much more terrifying, than the sort of hateful, cruel murder committed by the three men who killed James Byrd in 1998 in Jasper, Texas by beating him, tying him to bumper of their pick-up truck and dragging him to death on a blacktop road. This was murder for a reason, albeit a reason most of us find abhorrent. It was affirmative hate for a man because he was black.

Not so for these others. There is no emotion in these killings. Hate is an emotion. Yes, the one tweeted about hating white people but I don't believe these men even know what hate is. They just repeat what they believe is the cool thing to say.

I hesitate to say this but, I'm sure that the idea is already out there in far scarier places than my mind. I'm sure you've seen the movies and the "out there" TV shows that have as a subplot the genetics and bio-manipulation scientists, working under top secret government programs, trying to create the perfect soldier. We have, living among us, exactly what those programs would produce and they did it right out in the open. Men with no conscience and no morals. Men with no ability to question violence or to restrain themselves from murder. Men to whom life is meaningless and void of purpose. This is far more frightening than the rare hate crime such as the murder of Mr. Byrd.

Get real, Todd. Not everybody. Those guidelines only cover a mere 80% of us.

Just the idea that a bit of chitchat can be sent out there and we cower and rush around, like islanders before a hurricane, boarding up the windows, says all there is to say about this administration. Not saying that the threat shouldn't be taken seriously but, I can't imagine Reagan or Eisenhower, or Bush 2 playing prevent defense. I honestly think it's time to start blowing up some of their stuff. We need to tell our companies to pack up and bring whatever they don't want to lose and come home. Then we need to see what Arabs can do with a mangled mess of destroyed oil pumping equipment. Maybe they will be able to make utensils out of what's left.

I hear there's gonna be bulldozer work up around Sacramento soon. Also, a state-wide growth in the mental health industry should be on the horizon. But to the bozos that run your state, mental health probably means lobotomies on demand without parental consent.

I know what you mean but I think we've been snookered on that; convinced on the sly that we somehow join in the sleaze if we sue. But, think about it, Todd. We are a nation of laws. Laws are operated on through the courts. Lawyers are the liaison between the people and the courts. Liberals have had the almost an exclusive hold on that and know how to make the legal system work to their benefit.. Learning the rules and playing the game by them does not make us sleazy, it gets us on the playing field. It may not seem like it sometimes but we do have the upper hand when it comes to the law. That's why the liberals have worked so hard to make us think being on the field equates with being like them. We can play their game better than them because we have a bigger gun called the Constitution. I think it's about time we started taking it to them on what they thought was their home turf.
