I am glad this story is getting some attention before the Senate votes. I can't believe the 8 republican representatives that votes yes for this bill. Those 8 votes were the difference between passage or failure! I want to personally campaign against all of them and I don't even live in their states!

Seriously, give it a rest. EVEN IF he weren't legally President it wouldn't negate the fact that this bill is being passed in Congress. A discussion about Obama is completely irrelevent on this topic. Aside from that, he is LEGALLY the president until it is proven otherwise. Ridiculous theories like this are a waste of time and they make the 912 less credible.

You are wrong about Insider Trading. It is not only limited to the employees (or even the top officers) of the company. Anyone trading on this non-public information or divulging this information can be prosecuted. I actually found it amusing that Michael Savage was denied access to England. He says some ridiculous things sometimes, and I personally find him obnoxious. I don't doubt his intelligence though. I just can't stand to listen to someone yell into a mic for hours. Also why I don't listen to "The Great One" Levin. He has the right to say whatever he wants...but they don't have the right to keep him out of their own country? Please, what hypocrisy from some posts I've read.

I agree with everything you said, except "your President". He is everyone's president and I always hated hearing that when Bush was in office. Obama is everyone's president and he deserves the respect of that office at the very least. We all disagree with him on many, many issues but I think we can all agree that the office of the president does not preside over half of the United States.

Yes I read the article, there is no need for you to be rude. I apologize for the GM slip. I argue that the decision to refuse additional bailout money will be good for the company. Taking on additional debt, especially from the government, should be avoided if possible. It is your opinion that their motivation was executive bonuses. The article clearly cites a quote from the company saying this is not the reason behind the refusal of additional money. Chrysler is not an industry, they are one company within an industry. The survival of the american auto industry does not rest solely on the survival of their company.

I disagree. By refusing to take additional government funding they are choosing not to allow the government more ownership in their company. They believe this is the best option for them, their shareholders, employees, and American taxpayers. Explain how GM using less tax payer bailout money is choosing self interest over America??
