It needs to be towards high tech education and incentives to stay in Michigan instead of taking a good education and leaving for greener pastures.

We need the businesses to want to come here and part of that is a skilled labor force for that business.

It's not the 8.50 an hour jobs being exported.

Auto Workers, Manufacturing, Steel workers, Computer Programmers, etc...

All made more than 8.50 an hour. Sacrifice other peoples jobs so you can buy a cheap TV?

A poll done in 2000, long before Obama, ranked all past presidents. The poll was a broad sampling of liberal and conservative historians who ranked each past president. The presidents given the best rankings had the LOWEST number of years of federal service.

Also note the use of Federal service, meaning US Government, not local or state government roles.

Let's just face it that you have an unrational dislike of Obama and you make up any kind of arugment to sustain that unrational dislike, even to go so far as to use reasons you would not apply to other past presidents.

All politicians make promises and very few ever deliver on any of them. Huge problem with American politics that no one is really ever held to the promises they make. Our fault as the voters to let them get away with it.

The point is, the current economy crash has its roots set during Bill Clintons era and was feed by greedy Americans. Short sighted goals lead to our cycles of boom and bust.

It's probably much higher than that. The way unemployment percentages are calculated there is the possibility for large numbers of people to get unreported.
