I have to say it's not all fun when 3g ain't working, and easy to blame an other for your problem, but hey nobody's perfect :) I have the same problem, I don't know if it's the BB, I am for sure it ain't my simcard, I have tried that. Could it be possible that the firmware 3.1.2 could be the solution when it's unlocked in the near future?

Restore with your sim in iTunes 8.2 (don't update to 8.2.1) Use redsn0w (don't activate with Itunes) Put your phone in flight mode, put wifi on to use Ultrasn0w Update cydia (all) Install Ultrasn0w after reboot, turn off flightmode It should work after this... good luck!

Yep... I believe I tried anything possible (but still see new solutions, which I try) Network reset doesn't seem a solution for me. It might something to do with the vodafone (dutch) band? Could it be solved in 3.1?

that was not in FW 2.2 the case. It (3G) should always work, I'm not alone is this matter. 3G losses connection, even when I doing nothing on the phone (calling, mailing, texting ect) Not want to be rude, but I think you're wrong, sorry. Thank you anyway for thinking with me.

I have an Iphone 3G (original new O2 UK) now with Dutch Vodafone. Unlocked ect . as discribed above (utratips) Used Redsn0w 0.7.2 and Ultrasn0w 0.91-1 Got a new vodafone SIM. Still get the message (after 2-3 minutes) NO SIGNAL en comes back after a while. My 3G reception on other phones is perfect (no drop outs, no lost calls) My Iphone is different...The signal loss is completely random at 3G. Phone works fine if 3G is turned off. Wifi works good. Can anyone tell me if this has anything to do with the OS 3.0 software, and this problem could be solved in version 3.1? My idea is that there is som sort of problem with the baseband (read it somewhere) I am trying to get 3G working since the first redsn0w came out...
