Thank you for the interview. I continue to find Kino inspiring. Be strong, I believe there is a stronger version inside each of us than we can even imagine. I like the way she constantly reminds us of that.

I've never seen these but I'll just never get over how a vampire can walk in the sun AND have a baby. Living dead that walk at night is the definition of vampire, oh ya and drink blood, so I hope at least they have that one. It's interesting how you can just change the well, well established "rules" of existence of such an infamous creature.

This is true! I can't believe in season 1 I was actually interested in what happened to her. She was like an underdog you could root for. She just seems completely unrelatable right now. Maybe the big fairy reveal so early and now having her fall for every supe intown undermined her every girl charm and took some of her spunk away.

This episode was ridiculous but Eric drinking from the aorta juice-box style redeemed the show for me at last minute. Scenes like that is why I watch True Blood. I'm in for the finale but not sure next year - maybe if the cliff-hanger is amazing. If it's a repeat of a Soul on Fire style episode, even with a Bad ass Eric move, that will be the final nail in the coffin for me - no pun intended or maybe just a bit :)

At this point, after this episode, after Sookie's whole dairy maid with lightening fingers trick and confused sofa talk with Eric, I've ceased to care about what happens to Sookie. Bottom line - the character is just sad; a girl who spends season after season unable to get over a romance gone sour is just dull tv. I'll tune in to the end of Season 4 to see what happens to the rest.

The witch battle was thrilling - loved old Eric's, or slave Eric's or who ever Eric's body-part-in-hand wicked wicked laugh! So true that Alpha hasn't very big boots to piss on. Blood bonding in the cubby hot! Eric and Sookie go to Narnia ..meh (but as Alan Ball says we've had our honeymoon now everything goes to hell). I wonder if the new game on the True Blood set is who can do Tommy best this week and then that person get's a scene.

re: real amnesia or not Roth' s Theory this has been mentioned a few times. However, Eric as a character, no matter if he remained shirtless the entire remaining life of the show, would totally lose me because then that means he is absolutely forfeiting his relationship with PAM - his progeny. That means he dismisses her suffering, doesn't go and see if she is ok after getting his silver chains etc... That does not fit with Eric of season 3. Geez, don't you remember the "death of a chiId is the worse pain!" I can't believe they would write the character abandoning PAM just to get into Sookie's pants. If that were the case, it would just kill what is my favorite relationship of the whole show. My theory is going extreme with puppy dog Eric is deliberate for the story arc because it will swing the other way and both of them will have to reconcile with that; plus typically Alan Ball giveth and he taketh away. The team which is your favorite hot guy is silly but what is interesting is how different the relationship is with each. Bill is paternalistic with Sookie, always trying to protect her like a southern gentleman. Eric likes her warrior spirit and willing takes her as a partner in adventure - ultimately she saves him end of every season. Alcide is a good ole boy who is as predictable and faithful as the family dog. All the guys are hot, all the actors are good, I think viewers just chose the relationship that appeals to them. Yes, Sookie has kind of a castrating effect on all males she encounters. Her character, in the show at least, is such a goody two shoes with her only interesting sem- flaw is her side penchant for dirty vampire sex. It would be hard for any real "man" or "supe" to be with her and retain their whole character. Having said all that she is obviously pretty forgiving ;) For all those I've heard say team witch - really! Really, you want to tune in every week to a show about witches with all the vampires having met the true death and check in on who Martonina is sleeping with?!? There is no doubt the show I want to watch. I hope they shred that witch like confetti so all the blood suckers can continue on the seasons as "happy" tormented vampires.

ThinkHero.com - Sci-Fi Comic Books Movies and TV Online Video Blog Show : True Blood "I Wish I Was The Moon" Season 4 Episode 6 (REVIEW)

I have never seen Eric as a warrior. Looking at subtler character nuances, if one goes back in episodes and seasons and does a character study, you will find that Eric is really a lover not a fighter. He was born a viking, yes, and destined to be a warrior king but as we saw he preferred spending his afternoon in the maid's bosom rather than following his father around. Everything he does, offering to forfeit, his life more than a few times, he does for love. He's actually a pretty emotional guy who has spent a 1000 years building a lot of armor to survive. Even after 900 years Godric still had to remind him about dominating his emotions. It was a good choice for him I think to be a maker of someone a little more naturally hard-edged like Pam. I think that may be a reason he chose her. This past episode, I feel in general, the writing was poor for the character but the character development over all, I feel is true. This is for TV Eric; the book Eric may be different but from what I've seen the story arc here rises above the script's weaker points.

@Brazillian Fan re: Marnie/Antonia threat - I think it may have something to do with powerful creatures such as vampires losing their free will. She can not only destroy them, or shall I say make them destroy themselves, but also she can manipulate them to do her bidding. And as they say absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I loved last nights episode but not for reasons even I would have expected. I just loved seeing Jason and Sookie back together and the whole were-panther thing had me in stitches. "Stop I'm a police officer and a were-panther!" - priceless. Sam/Tommy brilliant, Jason/Jessica sweet and hot, all the story-lines seemed to step up but of course the Sooric story-line is hands down the most interesting. What's even more interesting is as cute as amnesiac Eric is, at this point I too am missing his bad ass side, which is a genius character reset and half move by the writers. I'm not worried because I know this is True Blood - everything is about to get really twisted. Remember Mary-Anne's fun for all orgie parties and the beatific fairy land. Anything too good to be true on True Blood is. A perfect cuddly viking vampire god, I think not. Ya Sooric can look back at the night they made love on Bambie's front lawn but the shit is going to hit the fan for this ill -fated couple (no boos please - all couples on True blood are ill-fated). While we can all rejoice at the culmination of Sooric, I think this episode was actually filler for the couple, and shower scene or no with the inevitable first hook-up out of the way, the writers can now royally f with us. Let the games begin!

We were waiting :) Glad you got it up before episode 6, which we all know is going to be crazy! Agreed making light of the rape of Jason was a wtf. Watching Ball and writers on the Inside the Episode segments talk about the Jason hotshot story, it seemed like they did take that scenario lightly! Had it been happening to a female character it wouldn't have had a diner chat brush off.

ThinkHero.com - Sci-Fi Comic Books Movies and TV Online Video Blog Show : True Blood "If You Love Me, Why Am I Dying?" Season 4 Episode 3 (VIDEO REVIEW)

I have always loved this show but season 4 for me is already the strongest. While I always enjoyed the themes and campy humor of the show, it was never really scary to me until now. Vampires and werewolves whatever, but throw in a demon baby and a creepy doll with possessed witches chanting evil spells, I am actually finding this season pretty scary. Eric's amnesia is without a doubt for me the most engaging story line not only because of Skarsgard's charismatic presence but the thought of who are we without our memories. I find my self wondering is this still Eric or is this another person? Is it our experiences and thus memories that makes us an individual or is there an inherent person underneath. Thus is this still Eric or just a blank slate. Also the thought of after a 1000 years of a lot of painful memories would this be in someway a gift, a chance to be reborn. It's such a wonderful theme to play with, grateful it's in the hands of such a gifted actor, and I can't wait to see it unfold. Jason's rape scene is holy crap disturbing and I actually almost can't watch it. Back on board for your reviews as always!
