Just checked out the Big Head Press site. Why am I only learning of this company now?

I'm as right wing as they come but I never injected my beliefs in my work when I was working on hosehold name, mainstream comics characters. I don't think politics belong in escapist entertainment. Besides, you can end your career in comics in a hurry just by admitting you voted for a Republican once. That said, I think comics are a fine forum for conservative thought that shouldn't be abandoned to the Left entirely. I recently worked on the comics adapation of Amity Schales' The Forgotten Man. But superheroes and politics? No thanks.

Thanks for the kind words. I still stay busy in comics outside the Big Two. Stop by my website dixonverse.net

I hear you, man. I prefer my comics apolitical.

A little bit too outspoken, I guess.

Industry: Comic books

Position: Writer

Status: Blacklisted at major publishers

I'm a prolific comic book scripter with lots of bestselling titles in my background. I have always freely shared my politcal opinions in private but have never made them a part of my work. Once upon a time that was cool and editors and publishers enjoyed the debates. These days it's lockstep left wing or nothing. I still have lots of work at independent comic companies but I am barred from ever writing Batman or the Punisher again until there's a regime change in comic book land.
