Chrysalis: Help us solve an argument.
Trixie: Who has a better plot?

Am I to blame for the weakness of your princess? Celestia is old, worn out, and her connection to what once made her great-- the Elements of Harmony-- has long been shattered. If she weilds true strength, why does she sit idly by as disaster after disaster strikes her country? Is it because she won't? Or because she can't?

Many did. However, many more lived for it. My people were on the verge of starvation. That invasion, as... Costly as it was, saved the lives of thousands. Changelings. YOUR brothers and sisters.

I am well aware of this. How quick you young ponies are, to judge a creature centuries old on the actions of a single day. Of course I am capable of loving, little one. Do I really seem such a monster to you?

I will not attack you where you stand... Although I am sure you realize that I could. However, should you harm any of my subjects in my presence, understand that I will not hesitate to smite you.

Then you know. And when the time comes, you will use that knowledge. Be patient, little one. You will discover your true destiny in time.

I have lived for centuries. I have seen lands beyond Equestria, and fought creatures you can't imagine for stakes you will never comprehend. I have loved, hated, feared, and regretted for reasons more numerous and ancient then either of you could grasp. I have survived wars, famine, and battle with the gods themselves. I am the rightful Queen to my people, and I will rule them as I see fit.

Then do not. I understand that my methods are... Extreme. I do not apologize for them, but neither do I expect all changelings to follow my example. Find true love. Real love. Feed from that. If, of course, you know how...

Chrysalis: What do you either of you know of such things? Little one, your path is yours and yours alone. Consider this, however-- I help ponies. Hundreds, thousands of ponies. Every changeling in my hive, every worker and every egg, is under my protection. I bring life and hope to more creatures in a single day than some do in their entire lives. Should I relinquish my power? Let my people starve, leave them to fend for themselves, all under the guise of "fairness"? You say you want to help, little one. Maybe it would be prudent for you to stop and ask yourself how you can do that.

Chrysalis: An unfair advantage? Does a unicorn restrict its magic? Does a Pegasus stay on the ground? Does an earth pony stay inside? Of course not. You are a part of a truly remarkable race, little one. Do not hesitate to take full advantage of what you have been given. And as for Changelings feeding on one another... It can be done. It is not without risk or drawbacks, but it is possible.
