Also I think you're undervaluing Terminator 1-2 and Aliens. They contributed so much more than just "ground breaking graphics and special effects" they set the bar for action movies and sci-fi at the time of their release... and they still hold up to this day in my opinion. More of todays shaky cam filmmakers should study Cameron for how to stage and shoot effective action sequences.
