I see what you are saying about that Michael, but knowing how poor Google is most times with customer service, I think that it is important for consumers to show them how PO'd they are about the situation. From a developers stand point (that's what Google Code is used for) it can be a pain in the neck, but in my opinion it needs to be a pain in the neck so they actually do something about it.

If I remember correctly, the Milestone took a while longer than it's American DROID counterpart to get 2.1. Just because Google says that 2.2 will come to these devices in a matter of weeks doesn't mean that the carriers won't drag their feet.

I think the only reason that the Moment received the update before the Hero is the fact that the Samsung Moment is considered a \\\"Google Experience\\\" device, meaning that it is stock Android and can receive updates sooner. HTC has to port the Sense UI to every major release of Android before releasing it to carriers for review. Once it gets there it could potentially take forever.

According to the Nexus One help site there is the VAT of 17.5% that you are talking about plus a "6.5% duty may apply to some items" in the order. That sounds a little wishy-washy, but it does mean that there may be a duty added. I hope that Voda doesn't make it more expensive than importing it. That will surely be a mistake.

Nope your aren't. Product Search isn't an app in the Market. It is the actual Product Search in Google search. If you are at the main Google Search Mobile page, tap 'More' at the top. Then on the drop down tap 'Shopping'. That will take you to Google Product Search. Thanks, Rick, should have been more clear!

Yeah, all my friends that are using DROIDs can see it in the Market, even one's with modified ROMs. I am using the latest "leaked" Motorola ROM and still cannot access the app. Strange.

Michael, I agree that Flash is not ideal for creating phone applications and we need something more lightweight yet robust. Hopefully HTML5 can bring that to the table. But I do think that Flash will be used on phones until we bridge the gap to HTML5. It isn't the ideal platform, but in my opinion it is the platform that we may have to use until something better comes along.
