I hear too many complaints over rebooting franchises with no original thoughts but now that a director is adding how own touch and ideas to the story, we complain again. Doesn't make much sense to me. For all I know the film could either be great as standard horror fare or awful as standard horror fare. If Zombie's going to bomb, he's bombing with his own material.
