This is a very true statement. I too hate when people confuse & intregrate the two. It seems that Christ is so often confused with us "men". Were humans and therfore will & do make plenty of mistakes.

But, I refuse to raise my kids in such an immorally led church (as it has been for quite some time). I say this because I have been there, done that, and have the t-shirt to prove it. I know that all "religions" have their hang-ups, so to speak... but the Catholic religion does top (at leats share the top) of the list. I do know plenty of good catholics... I'm their daughter, sister, granduaghter, and niece. Along with friend. I do not hate, nor bash any Catholics pearsonally. I only state my experiance & knowledge of the church. First, I'm not Catholic Bashing as you stated. I was a Catholic..... therefore, I would think I would have some insight on this. If I was bashing, trust me, it would not be so kind. I could and have full right after what I went through as a Catholic to "bash" so to speak, but choose not to. I was simply explaining that if they could do what was done to me, then covering a symbole (sp?) is not so far a reach for them. I will tell you, if it was not for all that I know with & about the church in double stanards...I would still be Catholic.

This just "frosts my cookie" as my hubby's expression goes. I am a former Catholic (born & raised and am now Baptist). I have to say this just confirms my decision even more in leaving "my faith" as it is often put. I had so many diapointments before throught my Catholic life about the double standards. My last straw was when I had had a troubled pregnancy with my son. I had some trouble with my daughter too before. I prayed and prayed before making the decision to tie my tubes prevent a life threating "next time" so to speak. I went to talk to my priest. Let's just say no biblical or reasonable (as applied to Catholism) reason was given other than because it wasn't "life threating" at the time, it was wrong. So, I left. Not just because of that, but that was my final straw to that I WOULD NOT get communin due to "mutalating" my body. Yes, I said they considerate it "mutalating" my body. I say it's an ounce of prevention guided by prayer. Oh well, GO Catholic Church GO! Keep selling your "soul to the devil and loosing members!!!!

I loved seeing this. But, We as Americans have always loved the underdog. Me propably most of all. I hear there are already people wanting to change her apperance to look more "normal". I'm very sadden by this news. I heard that our naval forces have had their ships reduced from 600 to 300 in 20 yrs. Hello?! What about keeping our military well armed?! Oh, waite, that's right. We've been allowing our country to slowly disarm. Hell, we don't even (or so it seems) properly arm our troops for battle. I'm so sad for our country in that we are not the great nation anymore. We are slowly driffting to a much lower status in the national ranking. I pray we're able to reverse this corse our "leaders" have & are leading us down. May God help us all!

I pearsonally have worked in the health care system before becoming a stay-at-home mom. I worked for about 4+ years besides being a major receipient of this health care system. I watched Canada and other nations come here on 'vacation" to receive the services they have to waite on or can no longer get due to age, etc. I have first hand seen what socialized medicine is thru my hospital experiance. This is a system you DON"T want. Many can not receive heart transplants or the likes due to age, or cronic med condition. They CAP IT! That's it. The end. Sorry, your SOL. So, they come here to get it in our so called "suky" health care system. We receive so much compared to them. As a matter of fact, many of their doctors & nurses come here to work, free of herrassment and stupidy. That's why we don't want it!!!!!! See for yourself... ask someone from across the border or over seas and they'll tell you the same.

I have two children, one 6 and the other 2. I have one loaded 12ga "in case". the gun is no where form them to see. Any others that might be aquired will be in a gun safe. However, we have begun teaching what why and the whens of guns. I was taught (as was my husband) since I was very little all about guns & the rules. I have abided ever since. My 6 yr old daughter has even shot a .22 (w/ help) and enjoys it. But, make no mistake.. she is learning all about the right way of handling & safety. I believe children should learn and even fire (at least once) about guns. This way they can clearly make the distinction between movies/cartoons and reality. My kids have no disaluions about this. I will say though, each child is differant in age when it's right for them to fire. I do believe the more they see you clean, shoot, and handle your gun in a respectful way, they too will follow. Question is.. How comfortable are you & your wife w/ firearms? This makes all the differance in the world. Your kids will only be as comfortable w/ them as you and your wife is. Please keep this in mind.

Come to good old Southern Utah! We have open carry, and all most all people in my town have CCW's! We're huge on gun rights in my state. We also have great hunting, just for kicks...Lol.. =) I'd pearsonally get the hell out of dodge. We require no reg. unless bought commercially. However, I have just learned that our background checks are at the min standard required but fed law. Come on down! p.s. I also pray that nothing happens to you all who are left defensless. Thank you for being a True Student. I share your frustration. I'm 29, married and have 2 kids. However, I did try the colledge thing.. hated all the B.S.. I left left, but many of my friends stayed and have been brain washed. I can say this because before colledge, they were consertive people. After.. another story. I say educate yourself and then factually arue with your "classmates". Debate in class when ever possible. But, do becareful. It's can be very dangerous in those lib. colledges. (Forgive my mommy fried brain in spelling. =) God Bless!
