thanks :) I have not told the family how much pumpkin is involved in case there is a rebellion! We had the potato and pumpkin gratin with gammon and spinach tonight, but I made the soup while that was cooking so I am one massive pumpkin down and one to go!

The gammon pie is a definite winner. In fact, it's on the menu tonight :) It's so easy and filling and makes for good leftovers as well. I haven't made these cookies before and am looking forward to giving them a go.

I am torn between thinking it's ridiculous to buy Christmas stuff in October, and wanting to shop now before all the good stuff goes.

They are fab, aren't they. Would make good presents for teachers/child minders if you were baking. You could also fill them with paper/manicure items as well. I hope they have some left when I go back tomorrow. When I took the photo I had my arms full of Halloween party bits and pieces.

Between Pinterest and Mrs M's linky meal planning is a breeze :) Shopping and cooking, on the other hand...

They are definitely Yum. After their reply I asked was that an honest "we'll think about it" or a Mum-style "we'll think about it" but they assure me it was an honest reply. I think they may only be available in Australia because they were made by another company that Cadbury bought out decades ago. It used to be the same with Freddos but they're widely available here now (though not in as many flavours as you can get in Oz). Fingers crossed!

I am fine with the youngest, but oldest has just started high school and we're having to find a balance between him being responsible for getting himself ready (making sure he has his PE kit on the right days and that he's got his phone/pencil case/etc) and him being absolutely useless in the morning. Every school night I ask "have you got your stuff ready for tomorrow?" and even though he answers "yes", there's always something he's forgotten about!

I discovered Approved Food recently and love it. They sell food that is past it's best before date but still perfectly edible, and at half price or better. They also sell lots of cleaning products as well. Sorry, this is coming across as an ad but I was really impressed with the prices and how fast they delivered http://thingsthathavecaughtmyeye.blogspot.co.uk/2...
