ok, not to be an idiot or anything (which I clearly am) but it is asking for the IPSW i CURRENTLY have on my phone, which is 3.1.3_7E18, redownloading that one AND the 4.0, but I've used the 3.1.3 ipsw that i've downloaded from a number of different sites and it DOESN'T like it. Does it want me to upgrade FIRST to 4.0 then use the 4.0 ipsw? if so, is that safe?

bootloader: 5.9

WANT TO USE redsn0w to upgrade to 4.0 BUT redsn0w doesn't recognize my 3.1.3_7E18_restore.ipsw

IS THERE SOMEWHERE I CAN DOWNLOAD THIS FILE?

IF NOT, IS PWNAGE 4.0 an option?

Which one is better?

I've unlocked my 3G fw 3.1.3 basband 5.1.2 bootloader 5.9 with ultrasn0w .93
I'm CURRENTLY ATTEMPTING to UPGRADE using Redsn0w; however, I cannot get it to accept 3.1.3_7E18_restore.ipsw
Is there an ipsw file I can download to make this work?
I'm currently using a PC, I do have access to a Mac, can't use it very well, but I'll give it a shot, that being said, I DID download the official pwnage torrent and burned it to a disc (im assuming it'll work on the mac). Is there an up side or down side to using redsn0w v. pwnage or pwnage v. redsn0w?
