My boss is terrible which makes work terrible which is just sapping my enthusiasm for absolutely everything at the moment (this is the first time I've been on Spoils for over a week I think). But there's no easy way out for me right now and it's super demoralising. And also I have spent too much money this month and next month is going to be worse because HMRC will be taking a load of back tax out of my pay next week so I'll have a lot less to work with...

I got a call from my stepdad earlier checking in on me, because he said Crewe was starting to feel like the start of the zombie apocalypse -- the roof blew off the station and there was a fire, all the traffic on one of the roads nearby had come to a complete standstill because of all the roof tiles being blown into the road, trees down all further up their road...

Luckily down here in Northants we aren't too bad, I missed his call initially as I was in the shower after a run. It is really windy here, but nothing unbearable so far...biggest concern is that the wind will probably keep me up tbh. Hope any of you in the worse areas can just batten down the hatches and stay safe tonight!

Tammy hasn't had a UK publisher for quite some time now. :( There was a thing a while ago about it looking like Random House were going to be picking her up, I think based on some placeholder looking stuff on the website, but, well, Random House kind of have a terrible website and I wouldn't really put any stock in that as a basis for anything, so...

I went through a really convoluted process involving proxies and finding somewhere that would accept paypal so my UK billing address wouldn't throw up a red flag to buy the ebook of Mastiff when it came out. (I was only working part time and had a lot of time on my hands...)

I bought a new set of HP before Christmas because mine were so incredibly mismatched. I had a combination of US and UK hardbacks and paperbacks, and it was a bit distressing.

...Of course, it's not like I am actually going to get rid of them now that I have a matching set, because I have way too much emotional attachment. But at least they can go somewhere out of order on my shelves and not look so obviously like a mess.
