You did uncheck the activate the phone option in Pwnage tool in expert mode ? If you dont you will get no carrier unless you have Ultrasn0w which is not out yet

i got a few 1600 errors, resolved by restoring the official firmware.. I then used the custom fw to re-jailbreak.. Had no need to move from 8.2.. Was a 3g iPhone though ...

Power off then hold home and power for 10 secs then just home for 10 secs, that should put it into DFU mode .. Had a similar issue where booting hung on apple logo, had to DFU it and restore to official fw, im now re-building a custom fw to try again ..

Yes works perfectly for me ... I have found though after some pain tonight that you have to activate the iPhone on the proper sim first for most ease of use, failing that airplane mode on/off should suffice, that annoyed me so i had to activate to get yellowsn0w work on Vodafone on reboot ...

Doubt that iTunes would downgrade the baseband fw level, if indeed the firmware in 2..28.01 that is

It is hardcoded in the source to look for 2.28.00, it will exit if this is not specific version in use ... EDIT:- im not dev-team btw, i just read the source that is available ... have compiled a version too just for kicks :-) its not the latest source published it seems ....

Just found a resolution to my problem with 0.95 needing to have the flightmode on/off before it finds carrier .. I had been using a patched version of lockdownd to fool iTunes into thinking i had a valid iPhone so i could sync stuff (i activated it with valid sim then yellowsn0wed it) as soon as i removed it and went back to the proper version i could reboot iPhone and get a carrier immediately... now i have to remove the Lockdown data from the iTunes activation to enable me to use the yellowsn0wed phone and have it sync also ... EDIT :- That dont work, all i get is the emergency window now .. Hmmmm ? EDIT2 :- Ok, put activation_records dir back in place and i get the carrier, now i cant sync iTunes .. rock and hard place methinks .... anyone ?

Sure, i have the 0.9.4 yellowsn0w binary and the plist .. where to send it is the question ? Though id probably recommend waiting for 0.9.6 rather than trusting me :-) seriously though 0.9.4 was perfect for me, moved to 0.9.5 and there was a small issue, i tried to back to 0.94 and the problem remained .. your milage may vary ...

Hey Clarkey, Yeah the posts on the feedback section seem to be getting purged on a regular basis, i have responded a few times, i now dont appear ?? To answer your question 0.9.5 works just fine on Vodafone UK, on this release i just have to switch flightmode on/off and i get a carrier, everything works .. on 0.9.4 i didnt need this step but for some reason when i go back to the older version it still needs airplane mode on/off .. small gripe but hey it all works just fine ...

One for those who know, what does the yellowsn0w install actually do ? I figure it installs 2 things /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.iphone-dev.yellowsn0w.plist /usr/bin/yellowsn0w i had a perfect install in 0.94, nothing to complain about (still dont btw) i installed 0.95 to provide the feedback and on reboot it does not find carrier, have to use airplane mode on/off.... thats ok, go back to the previous version where there was not need for this step (i backed up the binary and plist before upgrade) .. now even after going back i have to use airplane mode to get carrier ... I have tried may permutations, unloading the launchd stuff before going back, leaving in place, apt-get remove yellowsn0w etc .. nothing works ..... Tried also resetting network settings before all this and it not matter ... Curious as to what files i have not associated with this process .. Ohh and the source provided, how often does this get updated from the link above? seems to be no update between 0.94 and 0.95 .. Thanks
