I had the same problem after I jailbroke and then activated SMS delivery. Basically I went into settings and tryed to turn FaceTime on but all it kept saying was waiting for activation. By the way I have a official iPhone with official carrier. So what I done was I went and uninstalled delivery report and then had to reset all settings and then went and pressed FaceTime on a few times and then it got activated I was the same as u for days. By the way when the phone is activating FaceTime it sends a SMS to get it activated. Try this or go into cydia and install delivery report and see what happens as since I got FaceTime activated I have reinstalled delivery reports.

Basically sometimes if u have purchased something through AppStore and the funds weren't there then next time u try to purchase u can get this error. Or it might be that u have to enter urn digit security code. Just check it again and make sure it's all the same as ur card details.

Hi ya just a quick question as I've been on Tiny umbrella site and there are instruction there to upgrade to 4.1 whilst preserving ur baseband. What is confusing me is it possible to jailbreak 4.1 if ur still on the old baseband. If no what is the point of this if there ain't a JB out. Is it so that once a JB becomes available u will be able to unlock with ultrasn0w. I hope someone can clear this up.

Remove the terminal and install terminal 4.0 that's the latest one and works fine. If u want to download and watch movies the cydia app unlimvideos is much better as u can streamnor download and much better quality.

By the above post it shows that u have blobs for 4.0.1. Are u sure that u have downloaded the correct firmware 3.1 4.0.1. And have correctly changed ur host files. Go to iclarified and check the tutorials and start again. And are u pressing the right key combination. e.g shift restore for PC or option restore on Mac.

Mate I just replied to this post but I did not come up so her goes again. Basically the reason u are getting these errors is because u have edited ur host files in order to downgrade if u need to restore using shah blobs then u need to do the restore as usual shift restore and all that and once u get the 1004 error u need to use reboot to get u to the normal screen on ur phone. Do to recap if ur just doing a normal restore then u will need to re edit ur host files if using to downgrade then once u get the error use reboot to get u passed it by getting u out of recovery. I hope this helps I got this of google so use it to ur advantage.

Basically I read up on this and apparently u get this error if u have edited ur host files so ur options are to go back and re edit ur host files back to normal or once u have restored and get the error use recboot to kick it out of recovery and to the activation screen. Google is ur friend that's how I got this info. To be sure this error pops up after the restore process leaving u in recovery mode correct?

No it I didn't restore it it has 4.0 which came with it. And by the way it's not stuck in recovery or restore mode it's stuck in infinite boot cycle. Where it keeps showing the apple logo on start up and just staying there redrafting ands showing the same thing. Do u still recommend tiny or am I out of luc. What about irecovery or is that just for iPhones stuck in recovery mode

Hi I really hope someone can safe me the trouble of having to do a restore and then having to go through the trouble of downgrading to 4.0.1. Basically this is my problem I have had my iPhone 4 for 3 days and it came with IOS 4.0 and managed to jailbreak and save my blobs via Cydia. I finally got all my apps and themes on my iPhone 4 that I had before then I installed PDAnet and it wouldn't open so I went into cydia forgetting to uninstall It first I found a newer version and tried to install that but it tried and came up trying to overwrite PDAnet blablabla. Then my iPhone 4 froze didn't respond which was a first. So I did a hard reset and now it's stuck in the reboot loop and I can't get passed it. I can put it in recovery but I don't want to have restore if there's another way. Oh yh by the way I obviously jailbroke with jailbreakme. Thanking u in advance.
