It dose not sound too good for SPEEA. The Engineers and Planners I have talked to say they are looking at a striks as well. No IAM...No SPEEA.... Just the Charts, Sandwichs, and Excuses. I hope this is not a ploy going back to the table just give the BAFO again to see if it will wear us down. It would probably just make us madder than all heck for thinking we are that stupid.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Boeing deliveries plummet during strike | KOMO News- Seattle, Washington | News

Boeing is not the company I hired into. Bill Boeing Jr. wasn't even invited to the 787 roll out. He was honored to come to every roll out since he left the company. The Company his Dad and he built. Renton Preflight invited him to a Employee day, I hope it helps heal the wound. Boeing used to value it's people, not anymore. I hope alot of the new hires don't decide to just leave Boeing. Boeing can't hire enough as it is. Boeing can't get the best new Engineers like they used to because other companies are offering better deals.

SnowLovingGirl, What is it like to always accept what is what givin to you? I have always stood up for myself and tried to better myself. Have you done this your whole life? Do you ever wonder why other people have what you do not? I don't think I could live like that. I must be like being a hamster on a wheel.

Interesting how the Prez debate covered some of the same issue we are fighting for. Insurance, Off Loading, and dumping everything on the middle class. It is NOT the Unions it is the CEOs

It strikes me odd that the failed Fannie Mae CEO, Herbert M. Allison graduated from Yale the same year McNearny did in 1971? Makes me wonder what they were teaching them. Bush was there in 1968. Hmmmmmmm.

Scott4, Do you mean " The Real Work Force" that aspired to settle for low wages, no medical coverage, and no retirement. The work force who use the emergency room as their doctor because they have no insurance? While the easy route is a path some choose to take. Their families will pay the price. When their kids can't go to a dentist because their "Dad" choose to do nothing to better themselves. Is it a education thing? Is it a drug test thing? Or could it be the roll over and take the easy route and " I get what I get".

StrutGuy, I am out at Renton Preflight and we some real quality issues from suppliers. Even after we reject the parts and charge the suppliers we get requests to change the charges from the buyers. My group refuses most. Think of how many times your held up from doing your job because of some outside supplier.

Well this Union Tard has figured out more flight squawks than I can count. I have worked with the Engineers to correct issues with the airplanes. If you have ever dealt with parts from China you would not be so quick to send work overseas. Or have you forgot the pet food, baby formula, milk, lead in the toys etc...

TIWorker, Yes we have cut back on our spending. That means no coffee on the way to work. Going out to lunch or movies. No buy cars and trucks. It also means we are not donating through work to BEGNF. Which gives money to all kinds of groups.

Why are so many CEO's bankrupting companies and still getting the golden parachutes? They don't care about people, just their own selves. AIG, WAMU, etc... No mechanics or engineers just chart makers ? What will get made? Excuses! Boeing says people are valueble to it's being. Which people? Oh maybe just the ones who can only make a chart, sandwich, and a excuse.

If Boeing is treating the new hires so well how come they can't hire enough? Boeing is hiring so put your resume in. If you don't have a dog in this fight get back on the porch. You are on the outside looking in.

So Terric besides violating a company rule by posting here, what are you making? Are the airplanes rolling out the building with you showing up to work? The bottom line is if you have a skilled work force you need to figure out how to keep them. Making charts can be done anywhere in the world.

If you don't work for Boeing or have not read the contract you should not post here, period! If you have read the contract you would understand why we went on strike. If you are so anti union please post a sign at where you work so we will not offend you with the money we would have spent where you work. Boeing needs to figure out how to bridge the skill gap. And they don't have alot of years to do it. The people who can only make a chart, sandwich , and a excuse can't do it.

Boeing and the Union really need to work together right now. We have a aging workforce with alot of knowledge. We have a new workforce that needs that knowledge. Dividing the workforce will only multiply Boeing's problems. A skilled work force is getting harder and harder to get. All across the trades they are seeing this. Now the people who have only made a chart, sandwich, and a excuse may not understand that.

Mr. Kight said his reputation is on the line over this contract. Ego aside it really is Boeing's reputation. Ask the 787, 777 freigheter, and the 747-800 Customers. Ask the 737 Customers who need the new planes to get rid of the old ones because of fuel prices. The Airplanes have to be right before they fly. This contract is missing it's B-1 Flight. It's not Right, it is Kight.
