Daily Camera.com: : Some CU-Boulder alums irked by \'Football 101 for Women\' class - Boulder Daily Camera

Is it possible they include "for women" in the title so that the thing doesn't fill up with men? If the aim is to get women more interested and involved, what is the big deal? I would think if they did get complaints in the past they would have changed the name by now. Maybe the two who were offended should take it to the Supreme Court. Talk about manufacturing something to get mad about. My guess is they never contributed anything anyway, most complainers historically do not (or it is so minimal, no one will sweat not getting their $10).

Let's do X, Y and Z, cost all these wonderful Boulder business income out the gazoo and save the emissions in a year produced by one 10-mile stretch of highway in China in a day. Woo-hoo. Shop elsewhere and don't contribute your tax money to these fools.

This was a disgusting story, but so typical of this editor and the people they employ. Negative, sour individuals. What do you expect from people who endorsed the joke that occupies the White House. That should tell you their judgment right there. Never let newspaper people tell you who to vote for, they don't know jack.

Smell test; In a letter to Cronin dated June 3, CU chief legal counsel Patrick O'Rourke wrote that "the investigator found no evidence that you knew in advance that your employee intended to call into the executive session. The investigator also found no evidence that you directed the employee to call into the executive session." Then fire the person who did it and not her. This makes no sense. Keep the person on board who made this kind of ethical decision?

If she had done any homework at all, she would have found out that the Pac-12 has been the most responsible of all the big 5 conferences when it comes to the facility races. They are just now catching up but no one is spending the kind of dollars tossed around in the Big 12 or SEC. Just a forum for a liberal to spew their typical hate without the facts. Big surprise there, eh?!

Ed Byrne aside, do these opinion writers do any homework at all? Just their usual anti-athletic blather. If it wasn't for the Buffs and Buffzone, there'd be no Daily Camera, no DC website. They have like 6 reporters, it's only in the black to keep the Denver Post alive. No big secret there. These liberal buffoons never see the light and always think those who donate to athletics would give it to a sociology skit if there wasn't football. You have parking for six football games a year, the other 359 days will provide badly needed spaces that campus needs. Oh wait, these greenies, who drive as much as anyone, want people to get to campus by Samantha twitching her nose or Jeannie crossing her arms and bobbing her head.

Daily Camera.com: : CU-Boulder hopes to add 600-spot parking garage to Buffs\' facilities upgrade plan - Boulder Daily C

My neighbor works at CU in the Atlas Building, but because she "just" started their six or seven years ago, the closest she can park is near the Events Center. This might afford her the opportunity to park 5-10 minutes closer in bad weather or when she works late, to be closer to her car. Parking is miserable on that campus and anyone really familiar with it knows that. It does seem rather expensive at $41K per space, but what construction isn't anymore? It's all jacked up.

I hear things--the media should investigate. Have you ever seen them do such a story? The faculty is so precious they can't be subject to such an audit? You obviously are a liberal because you resort to name calling immediately, the first tact of a liberal who has no intellect. You seriously believe there are no overpaid faculty? And show me one women's sport anywhere that turns a profit? Women's basketball at UCONN doesn't.

They have ignored most of the sports since the paper's shrunk. Creedon is rolling over in his grave. A once great sports section is terrible, though now leads the nation in typos. Can't understand why they always run a lengthy piece on something CSU. Who cares? Skip right over that when they do it. Knowing your audience is a lost art on these guys.

If anyone had any ba--s at the Camera, instead of always auditing expenses in athletes, ring up the waste in academics. See what "professors" teach once a semester for 180K in salary and then see what research if any they do. Then look at the bloated administrative jobs and what they pay some of these positions. You want to save millions, real millions? Look deep into those jobs. Athletics is looking at a $4 million shortage--okay, they need to fix that and give the new guy time, but that still means they're covering almost $60 million of their needs with a down FB team. And if they don't comply with Title IX, the University pays the price with penalties. Women's sports are great and most of us are all for them, but they are a financial suckage--maybe CU should just say we're gonna pay for women's sports. No wait, people bitched when they did that. Some just don't want campus to give athletics anything, well, wake up, they're an important part of campus life and they're never going away. Deal with it, academia.

Buffzone.com: CU sports from the Daily Camera : CU football: Buffs vs. Rams moved to Friday, Aug. 29 - Buffzone

This should have been done or at least tried long ago--kickoff labor day weekend with a Friday night game and then have the full 3 day holiday ahead. The complaints above are funny yet typical of elitist types, who turns down a guaranteed national game for exposure. Rockies just opened on a Friday and no one was complaining about that and they started at 2:00. This game is at night, which means after 6. Leaving work two hours early is doable for most folks. What a bunch of whiners.

Hey Camera editors: this a Boulder paper? No mention of the CU's women's team other than a sentence inside a kiss CSU story? You've dogged the CU women all year, no boxscores, short stories on the road, genuine lip service to a fine program. Your laziness is at an all-time high.
