I've always wondered how a rising sea level is associated with globa warming. They say it's due to the ice caps melting and increasing the body of water, however the largest part of an ice cap is beneath the ocean already. What happens to the water level when you have a glass of ice water and the ice melts? The water level goes down. All the crystalized water molecules that were standing straight and tight (with added area between them) now flow freely and decrease in volume.

I haven't researched this a lot, but what physics I do remember from college (and common sense) tell me the water level deal is BS.

What in the heck is this garbage? I especially like the part about empowering women. I'm making a note right now to not buy one of these for my wife. One of these cookstoves might give her the edge she's been looking for.

I suppose that could be debatable. Certainly I agree the Islamic influence on our way of life is far reaching. However, a crushed economy at a time when the U.S. no longer produces anything (food especially) would radically change how we live as well.

Not to mention that China has a much larger check book.

I bumped a thumb back up for you :).

I am fairly convinced that the greatest threat to the United States is China.

#1 Debt holder http://www.ustreas.gov/tic/mfh.txt

Killing other countries exports by raising the value of their currency (higher currency valule for exporters is a bad thing) http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_asiapa...

China reducing rare earth export, which is key to almost all industries http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-07-09/china-re...

In summation, they hold most of our debt, buying Japanese debt to crush main export competition, and they are now cutting off rare earth metal supply line (almost all industries affected by this, both foreign and domestic) to everyone.

Many think China would never unleash their US debt because they need our buying power. I would say think again. China can live on it's own. They can produce enough of their own food, textiles, automobiles, electronics, etc to be self sustaining and live without the U.S. buying power. We can't claim the same. We've become too big and we're a nation of buyers, not producers.

I'm no lawyer, but I always assumed that I owned the land on my driveway. If someone was on it I didn't want couldn't they be removed for trespassing? Granted they probably tag your car in the middle of the night, but I would still consider it trespassing.

What if it's a stalker? Is that OK too? Or is it just the police and/or government officials that have a right to invade privacy. This is a slippery slope.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it. Pretty sadistic.

They don't really hide "it" anymore do they?

Here's a possible solution for while you drive:

I find it ironic that they say using this device is illegal. Basically they can impose unwarranted tracking on you, but blocking this tracking is illegal. Pretty scary how that works out.
