I honestly think it's the fact that our fandom is very young in terms of the age of our members, and many of these people are still trying to figure out their sexuality, hence why so many identify as bisexual. In reality, those persons are really "bi-curious", and are exploring both men and women to find their preference.

You can blame that on Trihex and other notables in the Smash community holding fundraisers almost daily.

It'll be fun watching the Smash finals take 5+ hours. Seriously? Button checks where the layout is the EXACT SAME for EVERYONE?! Button checks that can last longer than the actual matches? Jeez...

...except for the fact that SSB isn't a Fighting Game series. Sure, Melee can be taken seriously in tournament play, but to call it a true Fighter is a fallacy. The FGC and the SSB communities are MILES apart in that respect.
