They had to be there in secret or have the Ward all over their butts! I love my Mormon friends but I also support the protests against the church. Mormons represent 4% of the California population but somehow magically provided 70% of the money. How stupid does one have to be to believe the whole thing wasnt directed by Salt Lake. That people just spontaneously donated their life savings with no pressure. If you live around LDS you know for a fact it doesnt work that way. Totally false. Even if we skip over welcoming Methodist and Presbyterian congregations there are still the Quakers who have been performing same sex unions for 40 years and the Episcopalians which fully recognize same sex relationships. Both of these are churches with a long history in the US. In fact the Quakers have been here since roughly the time of the Pilgrims. Which raises an intersesting question...if marriage is a religious freedom issue as so many here complain...doesnt it discriminate AGAINST religion when these faiths are not able to marry same sex couples?
