Look you dumb-ass, she subscribes to young-earth creationism. And, intelligent design is creationism wrapped within a thin veneer, that's why the courts tossed it out onto the street. Anything else you need today?

StreetWisePundit : Podcast: Book Review - Bringing America Home by Tom Pauken

"Christian ethics is not blind obedience to authority" I'm not going to take the time to go through Christian theology with you, but I will recommend that you read the story of Abraham and think about what the message is. Why was he considered to be "good?" Because he was willing to obey without question. Did you miss that? "-) Rick Warren theology: “Surrendered people obey God’s word, even if it doesn’t make sense.” Who gave birth to the idea that blind obedience to authority, no matter how outrageous the command, is a good thing? Religion. They even made it into a moral obligation! I call this “Abraham Syndrome” …and, this just so happened to be the most popular defense at the Nuremberg Trials: “I was just following orders.”

"A President doesn't have the right to appoint to his cabinet who he wants?" As long as he stays within the law. To disqualify someone from office just because they are a Muslim is, without a doubt, unconstitutional. It's really not that complicated.

StreetWisePundit : Abraham Syndrome – Thou Shalt Not Think

“I’m outraged” is not a counter argument. “-) \\\"Judeo-Christian heritage as thinking, and thinking causes genocide? I don’t think so.\\\" I don\\\'t think so either. What I said was Christianity values non-thinking, i.e., blind obedience to authority, no matter how outrageous the command. \\\"How does Mr. Annonymous explain that the worst genocides in history were done by atheists and pagans?\\\" I explain it quite clearly. The universal tool used was the moral value of blind obedience to authority, i.e., religion. Ratko Mladic was not an atheist or a pagan, he was a christian...

Chicago News Bench : Bombshell? Videos \'Prove\' Obama Birth Certificate Faked

Wow, going Birther... Oh well, don't know what to say... truly sad. You folks are working overtime on getting Obummer back into office. Just so you know, I saw this this morning. It's from Pam Geller. Check out LGF, he's far more credible, e.g., he brought Dan Rather down...
StreetWisePundit : Angry Mob of Christian Extremists Damage 'Piss Christ' Photograph

I don't know what this gallery has, I have never been there. I hate hearing about extremism as well, in all its flavors. Both Islam AND Christianity have a long history of destroying art and literature. Christianity has no claim to moral superiority on this issue. I find it hard to believe that the world is "ignoring" Islam while we are involved with two wars... What I find to be quite telling is that you don't show any outrage at all over what these people did, and in fact kinda justify it. I'm not personally invested, nor do I have a prior commitment to any of the monotheists that have been fighting each other for a long time. This allows me the freedom to call out insanity from all sides regardless. I notice that having strong prior commitments to groups has a tendency to make people blind to their own insanity withing their group. One thing that I have noticed is a growing fever in the Christian evangelical base in our country. It troubles me, and rightfully so. Christians are not exempt from doing crazy and evil things, though this idea is openly expressed quite often. I've read history, and I've been to places like Mississippi. Mix those in just the right way, toss in a little religion and wallah! - you could have religious cleansing like we had in the Bosnian genocide.

StreetWisePundit : Tea Party Member Email Depicts Obama, Parents as Apes

Aha, the old, "he hit me first" argument we used to use in the third grade. Nice escape! "-) From what I remember, the photos of Bush were a mockery of his intelligence and had nothing to do with race. Portraying black people as less than human, and in specific as apes, has a long history. I find it interesting that you would take the time to deflect away from what this is with old photos that are not even equivalent... The opening that you used, "While not funny" is quite telling. I don't think the issue is amusement, because to be funny, or not funny, has no real moral implication. Strange that you did not use something like, "totally unexceptionable," or anything with some moral force in your opening. That means that you began your comment by not fully acknowledging the the magnitude of the implications in this photo, and then ended by pointing to another topic, from another place, and time. In other words, you totally dodged the issue. "-)
