KOMO - Seattle, WA : Boeing deliveries plummet during strike | KOMO News- Seattle, Washington | News

Exactly. The stock ALWAYS drops during a strike. You had until Sept 30th to buy back through their plan. They paid out shares at 87.00 they are buying them back at 55. 00- 57.00 they make 30.00 on every share they buy back. They gambled people will sell during a strike because they need cash. We should be able to sell our shares back to the company for the same price they paid them out to us. OR give us the option of cash in place of shares.

They will lose the interest they would have had on that money if it were sitting in their bank account.

It'llbe real interesting to see what kind of bonuses they give each other this year... pleading poverty and all.. you know, having to cut costs and lowering the prices of the planes..

Boeing needed that little blurb .. the footnote refering to the strike as a cause for less planes being delivered. Does anyone really think that being out 28 days caused that many planes to not be ready for delivery? Those planes they are refering to be 'late' were already late and had nothing to do with the strike. As noted the strike gave them leeway, saved wages, dropped stock and enabled them to buyback the stocks from members who want to cash out on them for far less tha they were issued at (they make back 31.00 a share- what they are doing is backing short selling which is illegal) They shift the blame from their customers from inept management to a labor dispute. They are touting hard economic times ahead and a need to 'save' I suppose that would mean they are looking to cut their own wages and bonuses right? I mean, if they REALLY want to put THEIR money where their mouth is. They could save many MILLIONS right there ~ off the top. If you are going to walk then you need to walk tall and hold out for a FAIR and HONEST contract.

Congress and the the President can in less than a week find 700 billion dollars to bail out Wallstreet.. but they can't find the money to bail out Social Security or our health care system. All the pork they added,,, and not a cent of it goes toward our own country's social services.

It has EVERYTHING to do with us. Who hold mortgages they had no business getting to begin with? Americans. There are income-debt ratios for a reason. These people were preyed upon by these banks and mortgage companys Who holds stock in these companies whose overzealous CEO's have managed to run under? Americans. Whose going to foot the bill for the American national debt? American taxpayers. Bailing out AIG was one thing. NOTHING else should be included in this package. IF the House and Senate want to give tax relief, disaster relief etc etc they need to write it up and submit it on its own instead of adding it on to this. It's time they took a cut in pay as well and citizens recall their self imposed pay hikes. They are no better than these CEO pirates

What started out as a bail out for AIG has become a HUGE pork barrel. THAT is how the Senate and House operate. This has evolved into nothing more than a plan for them to spend money on every pet projct they have in thier pockets. It is NOTHING like the orginal plan sent to them. IT has nothing to do with us or AIG it is ALL about THEM> The whole damn Hill needs to be impeached

How do you solve the problem? ____Number one term limits. Enough of these career self serving politicians. ___REALLY audit the books. See where the money collected is going. Start putting the money in the account it is collected to pay for instead of the General fund ____Outlaw porkbarrling. The House and Senate sit around all year debating (posturing) Ordering studies to study the first study and then throw everything into one pile and vote on it at the last minute. ______It's time the media gave EQUAL time to ALL conadidates not just the DEMS and REPs. This ISN"T a party country but you wouldn't know it by the media. There are plenty of grassroot candidates that would do a hell of a better job and they haven't a chance of getting thier name known. The media needs to make itself equally available to ALL candidates... not just the highest bidders.

More pork. What happened to the 75 billion AIG bailout? After going to the hill it is now 700 billion to bail out everyone and their brother? Tax relief? Energy incentives? STOP stuffing the barrels. If you want cuts for other programs then write up a proposal for that. What's wrong with this country is those sitting on the hill. They sit in seession and do nothing more than posture. There is no real debate. they just like to hear themselves talk. Instead of actually debating and taking each item they like to lump it all together so they can get thier pet projects in under the guise of doing something at the last minute. It's time to clean out the House and Senate we NEED House and Senate term limits to prevent those who would make it a career of plundering the American taxpayers coffers. Stop refering to yourselves as Roosevelt wannabes. Roosevelt CREATED work and JOBS so people could PAY thier mortgages and put food on the table. Unlike todays government (Clinton legacy) who give companies tax breaks for sending American's jobs and work overseas.
