Big Hollywood : REVIEW: 'Brothers at War' Deploys on DVD Tuesday

I avoid war movies because I fear it WILL be just another "leftist agenda hit piece" and unfortunately it usually is. I am anxious to see this one.

Yeah. After Chiquita mentioned Clear Play and I dumbly asked her what it was, I realized we have this really cool technology now called the Internet and I looked it up myself. It seems like a great idea and the machine and the membership are really affordable!

Congress? How 'bout President! What a speech! I got the chills a couple of times! Without a teleprompter? If that doesn't motivate you, I don't know what will. Thanks for sharing.

Alicia, Love Actually is a perfect example of an otherwise really incredible movie that was ruined by the pornography couple. I often wish that I had a magic machine that could take movies and remove offensive scenes. There are so many movies that I would like to own or share with my children because of some really profound storytelling or characters, but just can't because one or two unnecessary scenes or language were thrown in the mix. So disappointing. There used to be a company that did that, called Clean Flix(??), but they were forced to cease and desist because of copyright infringement or something. Too bad.

I love her too. My favorite book of all time is Taylor Caldwell's "Tender Mercies", which I never admit because A) nobody's ever heard of it, and B) it doesn't sound quite as intellectual as saying "Atlas Shrugged" or "War and Peace" or whatever. But, I'll tell you. Just don't tell anyone else. I recently found a hard bound copy of it in a used book store. You woulda thought I'd just discovered a treasure chest full of diamonds! Definitely will check out "Growing Up Tough"... After I read "Tender Mercies" again. :)

Picturing Reba McIntire with a gun brings back memories of her character in Tremors (with Kevin Bacon). She was so perfect in that. Raising three boys, I bet we watched that movie a hundred times! Great flick! Brings a smile to my face just thinking about it!!

Yeah, this whole thing breaks my heart. I grew up in Santa Clara and consider it to be the most scenically beautiful and meteorologically pleasant place to live in the entire United States. I moved to the mid-west in 83, and I like the mid-west, but still daydream about someday going back to CA. Keep trying to fix it. I'm counting on you.

My two worthless Senators, Kohl and Feingold, have been in office since 1988 and 1992. We have had some decent conservatives running against them, yet the brain-dead, union loving people of WI keep electing them. It's SO dang frustrating!

He could have done a number of things that would have improved people's perception of him. Even if he didn't want to, refusing that prize would have been SO politically smart! Is his ego so big that it overrides any intelligent decisions? Yes!

Big Hollywood : Dennis Miller: Applying a Caveat to Forcible Rape

Shel: I notice below that you deleted your comment. I've sometimes wanted to reply to someone on Intense Debate, which goes to their email, but also to the site. but haven't commented because I didn't want it to go to the site for everyone to see, just to that person. I've even emailed Intense Debate to inquire if there was a way to send a private message. They said no. So if I sent the message and then went immediately to the site and deleted my own comment, would that work? Is that why you did that? Or can anyone else help me out on this question? Thanks.

Big Hollywood : Limbaugh Needs to Keep Fighting

This is what Rush said: "I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. There is a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn't deserve. The defense carried this team." He was simply saying that the liberal media had, for its own political purposes, overrated McNabb. Basically, he was commenting on the liberal media's racism.
