Alicia, Love Actually is a perfect example of an otherwise really incredible movie that was ruined by the pornography couple. I often wish that I had a magic machine that could take movies and remove offensive scenes. There are so many movies that I would like to own or share with my children because of some really profound storytelling or characters, but just can't because one or two unnecessary scenes or language were thrown in the mix. So disappointing. There used to be a company that did that, called Clean Flix(??), but they were forced to cease and desist because of copyright infringement or something. Too bad.

I love her too. My favorite book of all time is Taylor Caldwell's "Tender Mercies", which I never admit because A) nobody's ever heard of it, and B) it doesn't sound quite as intellectual as saying "Atlas Shrugged" or "War and Peace" or whatever. But, I'll tell you. Just don't tell anyone else. I recently found a hard bound copy of it in a used book store. You woulda thought I'd just discovered a treasure chest full of diamonds! Definitely will check out "Growing Up Tough"... After I read "Tender Mercies" again. :)

Picturing Reba McIntire with a gun brings back memories of her character in Tremors (with Kevin Bacon). She was so perfect in that. Raising three boys, I bet we watched that movie a hundred times! Great flick! Brings a smile to my face just thinking about it!!

Yeah, this whole thing breaks my heart. I grew up in Santa Clara and consider it to be the most scenically beautiful and meteorologically pleasant place to live in the entire United States. I moved to the mid-west in 83, and I like the mid-west, but still daydream about someday going back to CA. Keep trying to fix it. I'm counting on you.

I've sometimes wanted to reply to someone on Intense Debate, which goes to their email, but also to the site. but haven't commented because I didn't want it to go to the site for everyone to see, just to that person. I've even emailed Intense Debate to inquire if there was a way to send a private message. They said no. There is a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn't deserve. The defense carried this team." He was simply saying that the liberal media had, for its own political purposes, overrated McNabb. Basically, he was commenting on the liberal media's racism.
