Great for Joel for doing this. NONE, and I mean NONE of the Supes will make re-election - particularly the OLD guard of baron, houser, etc. You can book that. HUGE money and public opinion county wide going against them.

I know it is some cost to change a street name, but I would like it to be an exit street off 380 like 42nd street. Much more exposure and good for the city and good for a great Cedar Rapidian.

It is very disappointing to see Mr. Rogers falling in line with the the other three that are going to get trounced in the next election. I thought Ben had more integrity than that. The revolt against long time political blowhards is real and it cannot only be felt in the most liberal state in the Union as Massachusetts - it will be felt in Linn County soon. The do-nothing BOS will be gone.

GazetteOnline.com : Mid-day questions to you about Fiesta Bowl, Tiger, and life its ownself

I think Fiesta takes PSU. Iowa goes to Florida. I think Stevie (Tiger's caddy) has quite a few stories he could tell, don't you? And about life. This is my mantra: To me, it’s a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk around. That way, if anybody says, “Hey, can you give me a hand?” You can say, “Sorry, got these sacks.”

OK - here are some answers: OSU loss stings no matter what. The Sugar Bowl gets first pick in the BCS "draft" this year. They will get the Florida/Bama loser for sure. Next pick is the Fiesta this year - I think they take the winner of the Cincy/Pitt game. The Orange automatically gets the Georgia Tech/Clemson winner. And gets the next first pick after the BCS championship teams are taken care of. I think they take Iowa to play GTECH probably. That leaves TCU-Cincy in the Fiesta. And finally Sugar gets the very last pick and goes Boise to play the Bama/Florida loser. Oklahoma will always go bowling ahead of ISU. Always. Although I have Sooners in the Texas Bowl and ISU headed back to beautiful Shreveport to get pounded by a very good Arkansas team. And, I'm watching the impressive Texans tonight over the Texas scrimmage against Iowa.

Having gone through similar "bidding" processes, I find it very interesting how ICM came in "just below" Magid - by several hundred dollars. Think one of the Supes gave someone a heads up on what number they needed to come in on to win this worthless project? Hmmmmm. Also, how much would you like to wager that the "study" will recommend going back to the AOB? These corrupt individuals are spending our tax money to jerry rig a decision to fit their agenda - so they can garner millions of dollars more of our tax money to go back to their new AOB "castle" on the river. Will someone please stop this mess!!!
