Homeschoolers make higher grades than ps kids, hands down. If you want your kids to turn out right, get them out of public schools. Do not raise them in a jail like environment with a cookie cutter program. What kind of work place environment are we preparing our kids for by sending them to school? I know of nowhere that you would spend all day in a room w 25 other people your own age, raising your hand to use the potty, and being forbid to chew gum. Oh, don't talk to your neighbor either, how is that socializing? The only socializing school kids get is recess! If they didn't lose it for being in trouble for some nit picking thing. They actually spend very little real time on learning. It is all assemblies, rules, standing in line, waiting to have their question answered, riding the bus, ect. The actual amount of instruction time is not much compared to the time wasted. There are too many kids not getting the individual teaching and time spent on them that they need. Only thing is, the whole neighborhood knew it was going to happen. They spent the whole weekend before moving it all out. Cops didn't find anything of course. Of course the officials left the kiddos there, for several days after knowing the circumstances, because they cared more about the raid, than getting the kids out.
