GazetteOnline.com : Frew Leaving Culver for Cedar Rapids Gig - Updated

@tle1952 According to (Rick Smith) 2010, the mayor awarded this contract to Frew for 6% of $67 Million, which comes out to $4.1 Million. To that end, is much larger than a six figure salary. It sounds like Corbett is returning a favor to his old buddy Frew. I just wonder what Frew gave to Corbett.

GazetteOnline.com : Prosser Departs

Funny how the citizens of Cedar Rapids saw Prosser as the wrong man for the job, but the Iowa City Managers and County Administrators voted him "City Manager of the Year 2008" I guess its the mantra that you must be a great manager to see a great manager and I am glad at least they recognized his great leadership abilities.

GazetteOnline.com : City Manager Jim Prosser resigns

Yes Prossers wife works in the cardiology department at St. Lukes AKA Cedar Rapids Hospital. For the remainder of his family: he has two sons and a daughter. One of his son's is a professor for the University of Maryland and his daughter works for the mayor of Minneapolis and his other son works in Iowa City. Why would they live with him? As they are all in their late 20s and early 30s.

true your income tax does finance the federal government but that is for federal services and the money you pay in tax does not amount to much as it waterfalls back to your city. Please use facts and dont rely on your 8th grade education.

Hiawatha Bob you are on point. Seriously, why does CR have so many people threatened at change. No they want city services to be all spread out over 75 square miles. 75 sq miles that are in current city limits. Now you cheap POS's are you going to drive from Northeast to southeast at $2.60 per gallon. I bet you complain about that too. How much do you spend on heating your house per month. Just think if you have all services under one roof and they are being warmed by Giothermal Air. Huge TAX PAYER SAVINGS. IF you are going to build a new city hall I vote do it RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.
